We are extremely disappointed in our Luxurbe Rome City golf cart booking. We had booked AND paid for a hotel pickup and dropoff. Luxurbe changed the booking such that we had to find our way to their tour pickup and find our way home from that spot as well. That, in itself, is not a deal breaker but what is frustrating is that we paid extra for the pickup/dropoff and when Luxurbe changed the plan, they did not reimburse us for that extra option despite reaching out to them 3 times. It's just simple customer service to respond to your client, and would have been the right thing to reimburse for a service that you didn't provide. The tour itself was okay, and our guide was okay - not much narration during the tour and very little insights provided.
We were excited for this tour, but it turned into a frustrating, expensive mess. A music festival was happening right at the pickup spot, which the vendor never mentioned. That created traffic we had no way to anticipate for what should’ve been a short trip. We messaged through the app as soon as we realized we’d be late, but got no response. When we were 5 minutes out, the vendor called us directly. We explained the situation and they said it was fine. We arrived right at that mark, and my son ran ahead to flag down a golf cart that was pulling away. He gave our family name to the driver, who told us to wait — then drove off anyway. We waited 20 more minutes with no contact. I tried calling back on the same number that had just called us, and couldn’t get through. When we followed up afterward, the vendor was unapologetic and refused a refund — despite us doing everything we could to communicate in real time. If you’re going to run pickups near a major event, tell customers to plan for extra time, and actually answer your phone or app messages when people are trying to reach you. We missed the tour through no fault of our own and were still charged in full.
We had the best time and learned so much during our tour. Our guide went above and beyond throughout the whole tour to ensure we were all happy.

Our guide Dino was excellent. We had two teenagers with us, and it was simmering hot. The golf cart turned out to be the perfect option. He not only took us to the main attractions but also to less touristy places we wouldn’t otherwise have visited, including spots with great views of the city of Rome. It was a wonderful, memorable tour.

Simon our guide was great, and took extra care with our family in the heat. We had young kids with us and he made extra stops for shade and gelato. Highly recommend this as a great way to see Rome 🙌
