This was one of our best tours! Informative, well presented and interesting. We went all over the city and discovered many traces of Jewish life in Porto.

Great tour. Our guide, Joao, was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and fun. He went out of his way to include “added” stops so we could get the “real”Porto Jewish Quarters exp. Highly recommend the tour and our guide João.

Carlotta, a native and History graduate of the University of Porto, was a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide who took us on a three hour walk through Porto tracing the history of the (now largely invisible) medieval Jewish community of this beautiful port city. Despite the lack of artefacts she managed to vividly evoke a fascinating and ultimately tragic chapter in the local history. Carlotta was attentive to our interests, able to enlighten us on a wide range of questions, charming and patient. We thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour and learned a lot, from religious conflict and power to tea, port and sausages.

Joao was a fantastic guide. He tailored the tour to our interests and was happy to answer all our questions. Clearly a well educated and highly capable and friendly tour guide. We could not have asked for better.

Luigi was terrific . So so knowledgeable on all aspects of Porto. Really brought to life how life was . Would highly recommend !

The tour was informative and meaningful. Joao exposed us to areas and information we would not have found on our own. With so many of Portugal’s Jewish historical places covered up and built over, the tour is a must do.

The guide Luigi was personable and knowledgeable, and he did a very good job. However, there’re just not enough tangible or actual remaining historical structures to justify a tour like this.

The description of this tour was misleading. We thought we would see the synagogue in Porto In fact the amount of actual Jewish heritage in this tour was really basic and almost nothing to see.

Joao was so knowledgeable and amazing, so much Jewish and Portuguese history! His English is excellent and he was very patient with questions and walking issues on the hills! Saw the city of Porto up close and completely.
