ハウト ベイとノールトフックの間の大西洋岸にあるチャップマンズ ピーク ドライブは、ケープ タウンで最も風光明媚なドライブで、世界でも最も壮観な海上ドライブの 1 つです。眼下に海へと続く断崖と、頭上にそびえ立つ山々が織りなす、信じられないほど美しい景色。曲がりくねった道は、写真家や映画製作者にとって刺激的なものです。ここは、バイカー、ランナー、ウォーカー、ドライバー、観光客、ピクニック客、ハイカー、夕日を眺める人にとってもパラダイスです。ひと休みして、この素晴らしい驚異をじっくりと眺めてください。

これは、1939年から1944年までサイモンズタウンの英国海軍の陸上施設に入隊した南アフリカで唯一の犬、グレート・デーンの有名な記念碑です。「Just Nuisance」という名の甲板員は、階級、給与、食料、任務など、同じ階級の他の下士官と同じ特権を持っていました。「甲板員」(AB)は、南アフリカの英国海軍のHMSアフリカンダーに勤務しました。彼は1944年に7歳で亡くなり、軍の栄誉をもって埋葬されました。

The day trip far exceeded our expectations. We were delighted to end up with a private tour, which made the experience even more special. Our guide, Jaun, was amazing—knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about what he does. There was great flexibility throughout the day, and we were even able to add a wine tasting stop, which was a fantastic bonus. At no point did we feel rushed. The pace was perfect, allowing us to truly enjoy and take in the best of what Cape Town has to offer. The best choice we made was to do everything on the same day. And the best part of the tour was our guide Jean. Excellent, kind, attentive, he explained every detail of the city to us during the tour and also during the trip. He was with us every minute, and he was also the king of photos! Jean was beyond excellent!! Punctual, super knowledgeable, lots of fun, knew all the best spots and how to get the most out of each site. Saw sooo much in one day! It was the BEST!! He knew all the downtown history, geology and sites on Table Mountain, camps bay, Chapman drive, cape of good Hope and penguins and a rock star local restaurant for seafood! Jean was THE Best!! Incredibly knowledgeable. Punctual. On time. Courteous. Went far out of his way to accommodate any request. Knew the places and history without exception. Two of us solo women for the day and i had the most memorable day of travel! Absolutely exceptional! Couldn’t believe how much we saw and covered in one day! Table mountain with a fabulous tour on top. Stops at Bo Kaap and orienting us to major sites in Cape Town. Then off to Cammps Bay and Chapman Peaks Drive. Lots of stops to take it all in and photograph. Wonderful Nordhoek for coffee and chatting with folks. Then Cape of Good Hope and the lighthouse and penguins and ostriches.
