険しい石畳の通り、ビクトリア朝の建物、独特の航海の雰囲気があるこの港に行くと、長く誇り高い海軍の伝統がどこにでも現れます。サイモンズタウンは、1743年以降、オランダ東インド会社の船の冬の停泊地として使用されました。 1806年の2回目のイギリス占領後、捕鯨基地が出現しました。 1814年に新しい港が建設され、これがイギリス海軍の南大西洋戦隊の基地となりました。 ジュビリー広場には、第二次世界大戦中にイギリスの船員と仲良くなった、有名なグレートデーンで有能な船員ジャストヌイサンスの像が立っています。

We had an amazing day with Armando on the Cape Town to Cape of Good Hope Tour. He is one of the best guides we have ever had - personable, funny, and knowledgeable. He was familiar with the itinerary and knew exactly how long to stay in each place. We never felt rushed. He offered coffee stops and rest room stops - our group had some serious coffee drinkers. He was clear where and when to meet the van and he was always there and looking for us. While the itinerary was great, he really made the tour unforgettable.
We had a fabulous day touring the Cape of Good Hope and Boulders Beach. Armando was a wonderful guide. He was knowledgeable and eager to share but never overbearing. He was also interested in learning from us when we had information to share, and ensuring the info he was sharing was accurate. He brought a great sense of humor and joy to the day. We felt that he was responsive to our interests and never rushed us. He is also a good spotter of wildlife and made sure we had every opportunity to see and photograph the wildlife along the route. Our very full day included beach stops, a walk to the lighthouse, and time with the penguins. The itinerary was great, with plenty of opportunities to get out of the van. Unfortunately we ran out of time to visit Bo Kaap. I guess we will have to return!
Armando was a fantastic driver and guide. He was very knowledgeable and made us all feel welcome and comfortable. He didn't make us stick to a strict schedule, instead giving us the freedom to negotiate how long to stay at each stop and never made us feel rushed. The van was clean and comfortable, and it was a great way to experience some of the sights of Cape Town after a long week at a work conference.
Armando was a fantastic guide! He gave us a great experience starting with downtown, then seeing a local beach, learning about shark spotters, driving into the national park and doing some hiking. You may see some wildlife along the way. There are some great spots for lunch as well.

Armando is great! Very knowledgeable and I really appreciated his patience while our larger group took the time to see the beautiful beaches, parks, and wildlife. If you only have 1 day in Cape Town and the weather is good, I highly recommend this tour!
This was a great tour - Nuria was really knowledgeable and kept the group engaged and on time (where she could). I did have concerns with the driver, I couldn't understand the need to speed and constantly overtake other vehicles.
This was a great all day tour that was very informative. The driver spoke during the tour letting us know what each area was and providing a little history which was very much appreciated. I did this tour with my family ( two year old ) and it was family friendly. Thank you for the great day Gabriel.
Great day making new friends and learning about Cape town’s history as well as accessing amazing sights. Well paced trip with food stops excellent for quality and value for money. Leon was knowledgeable and flexible enough whilst trying to keep us to a reasonable to timescale. He has an understated sense of humour which is easy to miss so pay attention! Admission fees are fair.
Our guide Elie is a so patient, enthusiastic and professional guide. Highly recommend this small group tour. You can enjoy seeing penguins and the ocean all day.
