The pub crawl was very fun. I got to meet new people and go to the local bars. The music was absolutely amazing and the drinks were great. My only criticism is that they only give beer and a whiskey drink as a discount. All other drinks are regular price. I would recommend a more variety of drinks for discounts for the pub crawl participants. But overall good experience meeting new people.
So glad to hear you enjoyed Tyra! Depending on the crawl route for a given night, we have different drink specials for that night. But always much cheaper than what everyone else pays! Hope to see you again soon!
It was a great experience Mike was our pub crawl guide he was excellent and very welcoming this is also my second time going I brought more people this time. I plan to make this something I go to every time I visit to Toronto.
So glad to hear, Keshon! Looking forward to having you back again soon!
I was disappointed for 2 reasons: 1. At almost $50, there were no free drinks and the discounts weren’t really discounts… there weren’t really lines at any of the places either. 2. Our group was only 6 people. Which isn’t really predictable I guess, but I think the listing oversold the experience.
Hello Kris, Sorry to hear about your experience on the crawl. Addressing your comments: -Nothing in our advertising on Viator states anything about free drinks. In the event details on the ticket page that you purchased from and repeated by the host of the night you were on the crawl, the deals were as follows: first stop- free shot; second stop- discounts on select drinks; final stop- free entry (normally cover is approx $10). Please also note that Toronto is a very expensive city that never gives drink deals to customers except at very inconvenient times like Wednesdays at 4pm. So the fact that you got the deals on a Friday night at peak going out hours is a huge benefit exclusive to the pub crawl! -Note also that because Toronto is a very expensive city, for cocktails, the standard price (excluding the drinks you got deals on) anywhere is about $18+. At the bars you went to, tourists never go there- they are local party spots, which is part of why we take you there, to experience how people in Toronto party! -Unfortunately we can’t control the number of guests that come to the crawl on a given night. Sometimes it could be a smaller group, sometimes it can be over 50 people. Regardless of the size, the host of the night always aims to ensure everyone feels welcome, included and has fun. If there’s something more you’d like for us to do on this front, definitely share. We always welcome feedback! -Finally, for future reference you can get a cheaper ticket to the crawl in the future by purchasing directly from pubcrawltoronto.com :) (Viator charges over 20% commission on sales which leads to the price you see on the site) Hopefully this helps a bit but if you have any other questions or concerns you can email us at pubcrawltoronto@gmail.com Thanks!
Toronto’s pub crawl scene is a full-on social adventure—think curated chaos with a local twist. Free entry, drink deals, and sometimes even free shots.
So glad to hear you enjoyed!
There are no pubs presented that you could not have gone to alone, so no insider tips. I would not have volunteered to go to the sports at all, just loud. Drinks even average
Hello Birgit, Sorry to hear the crawl didn’t meet your expectations. Addressing your points: -The second stop of the night typically charges $10 for entry and the final stop, $20 and you probably noticed the extremely long line to get into the final stop. You guys didn’t pay to enter either of those stops of the night and you didn’t wait in line. So even if you did want to go alone you still get these benefits. -Note also that Toronto is a very expensive city. Typically drinks are $10-$20. But with the crawl you got free shots when you ordered certain drinks at the first stop and discounted drinks at the second stop (in addition to the free entry noted above) so this is another big benefit even if you wanted to go alone. -We take our guests to a variety of different spots to experience different flavours of Toronto nightlife in one night. Even if a pub that has sports at it is not your thing, you did get discounted drinks which is always a benefit, plus that was only one of the 3 places we went to in the night anyways. -One of the priorities of our crawls is to help everyone mingle. So everywhere we go has quieter areas to chat and such. However, because we take our guests to popular local places to party, noise is unfortunately unavoidable. Our tour was on Friday, April 4th, 2025. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to expectations. Our tour guide was extremely exhausting — she constantly shared personal problems nobody asked about and kept going on and on about Peloton. At some point, I honestly thought she was trying to sell me one. Definitely not the right person to be leading a group, in my opinion. We only got one shot the entire night, not one at each location as advertised. The first stop felt more like a café than a bar or club — they were playing jazz music and we were the only people there. No idea what the point of that was. At the second place, I was charged $18 for a single beer. That’s what I call a tourist trap. And to top it all off, at some point our guide just disappeared without saying goodbye. Wouldn’t recommend.
Hello, Sorry to hear the crawl was not what you expected. Addressing your points: • Some crawl members are not as extroverted as others. So with the host getting the conversation going with the group, it helps everyone feel comfortable and excited for a fun night out. If you’d prefer talking to others on the crawl or others at the bars we go to, you’re always welcome to do so. • There is nothing in our advertising that states you get a shot at each stop of the night. In the event details on the ticket page that you purchased from and repeated by the host of the night you were on the crawl, the deals were as follows: first stop- free shot; second stop- discounts on select drinks; final stop- line bypass and free entry (normally cover is approx $10). Please also note that Toronto is a very expensive city that never gives drink deals to customers except at very inconvenient times like Wednesdays at 4pm. So the fact that you got the deals on a Friday night at peak going out hours is a huge benefit exclusive to the pub crawl! • Note also that because Toronto is a very expensive city, for cocktails, the standard price (excluding the drinks you got deals on) anywhere is about $18+. At the bars you went to, tourists never go there- it is a local party spot, which is part of why we take you there, to experience how people in Toronto party! • Different people have different definitions of bars and clubs but the first stop is intentionally more chill (but where you can still order all the drinks you want- with alcohol or not) to help the pub crawl members mingle and get to know each other before things get wilder. Not sure what your definition is of jazz music but the fist stop typically is playing popular music. Usually less loud music because as mentioned it is the first stop of the night, but everywhere we go, you can expect mainstream popular dance songs so that everyone can enjoy the music and dance! • The host for the night explained when you arrived that she couldn’t stay with the crawl the entire night. In addition to that, once you were taken to the last stop of the night and were inside enjoying, that was the end of the crawl. What you or anyone else does at that point is up to them. If you have any other questions you can definitely email us at pubcrawltoronto@gmail.com
Arrogant leader who didn't care about people and kept complaining. Bar order not comprehensible, nowhere was anything going on. We were always early. After 2 hours the guide left. $50 for 1 shot and otherwise admission to restaurants that are free so early in the evening anyway. Complete waste of money. 2/5 just because we still had fun
Hello Matteo, Sorry to hear the experience was not what you expected. Addressing your points: -We received a report from our guide of the night of you making some women uncomfortable at one of the bars we were at and that you were almost removed from the bar as a result. We always strive to create a fun, welcoming and most importantly, safe environment for everyone so your interaction with the guide was likely a function of her trying diffuse the situation so that you could remain on the crawl. -You were given the agenda of the crawl several days in advance via email and were given a link to the agenda page online. The host repeated the agenda for you and the rest of the crawl guests as well. -We received feedback from other guests on the crawl that if anything, the bars we were at were too full! Apologies if that did not meet your expectations. -The deals for the crawl were as follows, which the host explained that night: --Free welcome shot at the first bar --Discounts on select drinks at the second bar --Line bypass and free entry at the club (normally $10 entry) Note that in Toronto, outside of our pub crawl, drink specials do not exist during popular nightlife hours like the night you were on the crawl (Friday night). Usually these sort of deals happen in Toronto on Wednesdays at 5pm for example. So this is a significant cost savings benefit for you guys by being on the crawl. -Nightlife in Toronto also is very different from Europe- all bars and nightclubs close by 2pm and 11pm is the peak time that people tend to go to bars and nightclubs. So you getting free entry and not waiting in line to enter the last stop is even more of a big benefit for pub crawlers too! Nonetheless, if there’s something we can do to make it more clear what the deals are that you get, please let us know. -Finally, the club that the host took you to was the last stop of the night. What you or anyone else does there up to you (i.e. stay until close, leave when you please, etc.) Hopefully this helps a bit but if you have any other questions or concerns you can email us at pubcrawltoronto@gmail.com
Mike was an unreal host! From beginning to end he was so friendly and professional! He expertly facilitated camaraderie among the group there and his local knowledge of the night scene in Toronto is unmatched! 10/10 would recommend.
