Such a nice, quaint experience tucked away in the heart of the city. Our teacher was fantastic and we had a great time. The dishes we made weren't much "cooking" per se as much as it was food prep (cutting, dicing, measuring) and one person will usually be at the helm to sauté things for the group. Still, super fun and gives a lot of opportunity to chat with the group you're with. They also serve wine throughout the session so that makes it fun!

Perfect afternoon/evening in a beautiful oasis in the center of Athens. Our host was gracious and guided us through six wonderful family recipes with patience and experience. The house and courtyard are inviting and full of history. We had everything needed and everyone got to participate in the process. We ended with feasting on all of our creations paired with a nice Greek wine in the lovely courtyard. All in all a great time with tasty local recipes.

Elena was fantastic both the chef and teacher. The food was the best meal we had during our entire visit in Greece. Homemade dishes that were easy to prepare.

This is a great activity for visitors to Greece to experience a variety of foods and to see how they’re prepared. Hands-on participation was fun! And Kostas, the chef, did a wonderful job of guiding us through the process.

My wife and I took this class with ca. 8 other people from pretty much everywhere. The location is a nice and stylish courtyard with the actual instruction taking place in a nice basement room. Attendees could take turns doing basic chores like chopping and squeezing. I don't think you get a deep understanding of Greek cooking, but the whole process gives you an idea about some key Greek dishes, and you can pull the actual recipes from their web site, which we did, months later. The final lunch in the courtyard beneath a tree was very enjoyable.

We had such a great time at this cooking class! The food was amazing Thanos was a great teacher. Would definitely recommend as a way to escape the heat and learn more about Greek foods.

Amazing lunchtime class! Adorable culinary events spot with farmers market right outside Its gates. Wonderful afternoon experience and then end the day with the last ticket time for Acropolis to beat the heat. Highly recommend!

My mother and I had a wonderful experience with this cooking class. Being January, Athens was quiet, and we were the only two people in the class. We were so happy that they didn't cancel us! Our friendly host was patient and knowledgeable, and the food was so tasty. Plus we had enough to take home for dinner that night! I highly recommend a cooking class here at Mama's Roots!

Chef Billy gave us the most amazing experience in Greece! BOOK IT! It was just my fiancé and I in the class, we cooked in a beautiful building, delicious recipes, our favorite meal of the trip, Billy explained Greek culture and food and showed us how to create the most authentic meals! He was so knowledgable and passionate about what we he does, gave us an amazing experience. Would 10/10 recommendation.
