Despite the weather, Mark was a great host and we were able to see some amazing sights. We loved the Alaska Wildlife and conservation center, Turnagain arm drive, glacier lake/Middle glacier, rainforest hike to a waterfall, and lunch in Girdwood.

Mark will be glad to hear this, Brian, thank you. He's good at reading a gray day and leaning into what it gives you, which on that route is usually waterfalls running hard off the rainforest walls above Girdwood. For anyone deciding: we don't promise blue sky, and the Glacier View day is built so it's worth the hours either way, the Wildlife Conservation Center, Turnagain Arm, and the ice are all there in the rain. Glad you got the whole run of it. Come see it in winter sometime; it's a different Alaska entirely.

A really great tour
So glad I booked this - this was a really top tier tour.
The guide, Jeff, was brilliant. He created a really good atmosphere and had a really good way of bringing the group together.
The itinerary was exactly as promised, with a few surprises thrown in. Every stop more than lived up to its billing and the tour was structured so that we saw the various sights at their best.
Nothing felt rushed - we never felt hurried back onto the bus, and Jeff made sure we got all the best pictures.
The 7 hours flew by and the photos and memories from this tour will endure for a long time.
Absolutely no hesitation in recommending this tour - it’s hard to think how it could have been improved and was a great way to spend a day exploring the beauty of Alaska.

Thank you for writing this one out, we passed it straight to Jeff. Bringing a van full of strangers together so nobody feels hurried is the part of the job that doesn't show up on an itinerary, and he's unusually good at it. For anyone weighing the day: it does run about seven hours, and we build it that way on purpose so there's room to stop when Turnagain Arm is doing something worth stopping for. Glad the photos came out. If you're ever back, ask us about Hatcher Pass.

Jeff was an excellent knowledgeable guide who made the tour interesting and fun in challenging conditions
事業者からの返答
Jeff gets this one too, Matthew, he had a stretch of hard weather days and clearly made them count. We hire Alaskans on purpose; knowing where the Dall sheep actually are on the Seward Highway cliffs, and what to do with a day when the ceiling is low, isn't something you can hand someone in a training binder. Thanks for riding with us in conditions that weren't doing you any favors. Come see it on a clear one sometime.

Good tour!
Dustin was our tour guide and he was very patient and knowledgeable. We got to see so much! I would recommend this tour.
事業者からの返答
Glad it landed, Sara, and Dustin will hear about this. Patient is the word we'd want. A Glacier View day covers a lot of ground, and the guides who do it well are the ones who don't rush anybody through the Wildlife Conservation Center just to stay on a clock. That recommendation matters more than you'd think, it's most of how people find us. Come back and let us show you Hatcher Pass.

Gorgeous scenery...
Gorgeous scenery especially with the heavy rain causing lots of waterfalls. Due to blowi g winds our group decided not ti hike. Jeff wonderful guide.
事業者からの返答
Those waterfalls only show up like that when it's pouring, Shirley, one of the better trades Alaska offers. Jeff made the right call on the hike; wind coming off the ice can turn an easy walk into a miserable one, and our guides have standing permission to drop a stop when the day says to. For anyone reading: the hike is optional, always, and nothing else on the itinerary depends on it. Thank you for the kind words, and for rolling with the weather.

For seniors or handicap...
For seniors or handicap riders that can’t walk too far this is a good trip…, but if you choose to do some hiking you have that option also..Dustin was very accommodating and informal, relaxed and easy to conservation with….would recommend again …Thank You DUSTIN

Jason, thank you, this is the review we'd point a hesitant traveler to. You've described the day accurately: most of the Glacier View stops are short, easy walking from the van, and the longer hikes are genuinely optional. If anyone reading has mobility to work around, tell us before you book and we'll build the day around it, small groups mean that's a conversation, not a policy. Dustin will be glad his name is on this one.

A great adventure for the money
We enjoyed every stop on this adventure tour. We saw sheep in the mountains, beluga whale pods, beautiful bears, moose and other animals at the conservation area. The views were stunning. We saw all the Glaciers and had an opportunity to hike closer to one. A stunning waterfall, a great lunch and even salmon swimming up a stream. Our guide was fantastic. Very informative.

What a day you drew! Sheep on the cliffs and beluga in Turnagain Arm on the same drive doesn't happen every week. We're careful never to promise wildlife, because Alaska doesn't take requests. What we can promise is a guide who knows where the animals actually are that point in the season, and the Wildlife Conservation Center so nobody goes home without seeing them up close. Glad the salmon were running for you too. Thank you for the kind words.

Great Tour with a wonderful Guide
Stephanie was our guide and she was fantastic! Even though it was a rainy/misty day she made the Best of it. The scenery was fabulous. The Wildlife Refuge was a wonderful place and one of the bears appeared for a bit. Overall the tour was informative and well laid out. We would recommend this tour to anyone going to Anchorage.

We'll make sure Stephanie sees this. A misty day on Turnagain Arm is its own thing, the mountains come and go and the water goes flat silver, and a guide who can make that feel like a feature rather than a consolation is doing real work. Glad one of the bears put in an appearance at the Conservation Center; they're rescue animals with actual histories, which is most of why that stop earns its time. Thank you for recommending us.

We enjoyed the drive and wildlife viewing. Jeff was extremely nice and made sure everybody was having a good time.
事業者からの返答
Glad it was a good day, Farah. Jeff keeps an eye on the whole van, who's quiet, who's cold, who hasn't gotten a picture yet, and that's harder than it sounds across seven hours. The drive down Turnagain Arm is the stretch people remember; the wildlife is the bonus we never promise. Thank you for riding with us.

This was a great...
This was a great experience especially for a 1st visit to Alaska. Mark was an awesome guide. We saw lots of wildlife…several Moose ran across the road in front of us. We saw bears, ox, eagle, reindeer and others. We saw lots of waterfalls and had an excellent lunch at Base Camp. Take plenty of rain gear and make certain you wear layers.
