We pre-booked gondola and chairlift tickets to get to the Mount Standish viewpoint. The trip up was great and the views from the top are incredible. We went up in the chairlift, then walked down past Rock Isle (Lake) back to the village. The gondola is one of the longest we've been on (even turns a corner at one point!), but not too long and a great ride. We went on the last day of August and they had had snow already but most had melted when we went up.

We happened to be there...
We happened to be there on the last opening day. It was amazing. Such beautiful views and landscape. The gondola right was fun. There was a big horn sheep eating under the gondola. Saw many big horn sheep along the road as you arrive. A very nice day and trip. We ended up walking down the mountain from the chairlift. It wasn’t bad going down but certainly wouldn’t want to do it going up!

Stunning views!
Our whole family loved the stunning views from the gondola and ski lift, and relaxing with a drink at the meadow was a real highlight too. Definitely worth the cost!

Smooth, user friendly, and breathtaking views. Would definitely do this again. Shuttle from Banff was easy to catch and comfortable, too.

Amazing views and good hiking and if your lucky you see a Grizzly Bear even in August!
Make sure you wear good hiking shoes if you intend to hike! Have a light jacket even in August and a Poncho or light rain jacket as weather tends to change fast in the upper elevation! They have a place called TRAPPER JERRYS saloon that has good food and beer,drinks of all kinds and sometimes they have a band that plays outside in the afternoons!

My new favorite place!
It was otherworldly at the top.! Absolutely beautiful! 3 alpine lakes you can hike to. My absolute favorite place! Only need to walk 2.5 miles to see one lake. 5.4 miles to see all 3.

Fun experience
We had a fabulous half day on the gondola and chairlift, and hiking to the 3 lakes overlook at the top. Enjoyed all of the helpful staff answering questions.

Glad i went
Well run with very scenic well maintained trails. Not inexpensive but cheaper than Banff and worth it. It was hazy from wildfire smoke so we couldn’t see the views but the lakes and flowers were still beautiful. It must be stunning on a clear day
