The Icefield Was Amazing. Cody & Collin Were Exceptional.

The Columbia Icefield and Skywalk are breathtaking, but what made this tour exceptional were our guides, Cody and Collin. Spending eight hours on a bus could feel like a long day. Somehow, they made it feel like it was over in the blink of an eye. Their chemistry was effortless—they played off each other naturally, were genuinely funny, incredibly knowledgeable, and created an atmosphere where the entire bus felt connected. What impressed me most was Cody’s ability to make every guest feel important. He took the time to speak with everyone individually, learned a little about each person, checked that they were comfortable, remembered details, and somehow managed to keep us all laughing throughout the day. He happily took photos for guests, made thoughtful recommendations, and even gave me an impromptu “facial” after a splash of glacier mud—something we’ll still be laughing about long after this trip. The entire day was exceptionally well organized. We never felt rushed, always knew what was happening next, and could simply relax and enjoy some of the most spectacular scenery in Canada. Great tours take you to amazing places. Great guides make you remember how they made you feel. Cody and Collin did exactly that. Thank you for making an unforgettable destination into an unforgettable experience.

Complete waste of time and money.

I have never in my life had a more disappointing day during a vacation. This was a complete waste of time and money. First you drive your ass 2.5 hours from banff to this glacier. You then are greeted with a Starbucks and gift shop. Then you get on a bus to drive across the street to get on one of these silly glacier trucks that drives you 2 miles and hour to the ice field. Ooh, ahhhh, its ice. Its also the size of a postcard that you get you schlep around on for 30 minutes until they crawl you back to the bus that then takes you the the Skywalk. Skywalk was the whip cream on top of the sh1t sundae you were served at the glacier. Oh and dont forget, you get to drive 2.5 hours back to banff to contemplate how you could have possibly paid any money for this crap let alone $150 in Canadian funny money. If you take this trip, you should have your head examined. If you enjoyed this trip, you should be committed.

Save your money and the Glaciers!

This is a beautiful place and an incredible natural wonder that shouldn't be missed. However, I don't think the full Columbia Icefields tour is worth the price. The ride out to the glacier was enjoyable. The large Ice Explorer was impressive, and our driver and guide, Archie, did a great job with the narration. Unfortunately, the area where you're allowed to walk on the glacier is surprisingly small—about the size of a small parking lot. At least five other buses were parked there with their engines running, so the smell of diesel was everywhere. Nearly 100 people were sharing the same small space, making it almost impossible to take photos without crowds in the background. The photos on the website don't accurately show how crowded it really is. After the glacier, we boarded the shuttle to the Skywalk with our driver, Dillon. As we were leaving the glacier parking area, he pulled out in front of another tour bus. Several passengers, including me, yelled that a bus was coming. We came within about a foot of what could have been a serious collision. I was sitting in the front seat on the side of the approaching bus, and if the other driver hadn't swerved into the ditch, I believe we would have been hit. It was terrifying. Dillon was visibly shaken and couldn't speak afterward. My husband and I were left shell-shocked, and I spent the rest of the drive worried about our safety. The Skywalk itself was amazing and, by itself, is worth seeing. Unfortunately, the near accident overshadowed the experience. Everyone we encountered, including Dillon, was friendly and courteous. What disappointed me most was that there was never any acknowledgment or apology for what had happened. After I had time to process everything later that evening, I realized how upset I was that such a frightening incident wasn't even addressed.

Rainy day - but still fun!

It was a cold and rainy day….but the rain stopped just before our tour. Logan was an excellent guide and we enjoyed it immensely. It was a bit slippery on the glacier - wear good traction. Overall it was a lovely 2 1/2 hours on a rainy day.

An Extraordinary Adventure

Almost an other worldly experience. There is really nothing like this voyage anywhere else. Chris did a superb job. His story is so worth telling and really drives home need to protect these natural resources, the ice fields.

Glacier ice explorer and skywalk

We can’t speak highly enough of our experience on the ice explorer and with our driver/tour guide Katie! She was so happy and enthusiastic about teaching us about the Columbia ice fields, answering our questions and taking our pictures! She brought great energy and helped make our experience a lifelong memory! The skywalk was okay.

The glacier and skywalk tour

This is excellent tour. It is very well organized and the staff were excellent. We first rode the greyhound bus up to where we loaded on the glacier explorer. We then ride to the mid section of the glacier. Wow what a treat. We walked around, took pictures, drank from the run off, AMAZING. Then back to greyhound bus and taken to the skywalk. Impressed either way the architecture of the structure. It was beautiful day and the view so high above the river. Walking and looking thru the see thru glass, wow

Phenomenal views and well organized tour.

Visiting the glaciers has been the absolute highlight of our visit in Jasper, walking on the clear glass floor overlooking breathtaking views on the skywalk is an unmatched experience.

🏔️ Once in a lifetime Glacier WALKortunity! Dress warmly or have an extra layer handy!

It was a once in a lifetime experience! Do it! Their fleet of 21 trucks are specialized and only exist for public at this experience. We tried glacier water and filled a water bottle! We experienced rain and sunshine during our tour. The weather changed so quickly! It was really cool!

It’s one time Event to experience!!

Basically it’s 2 hours tour. One hour passes by in boarding and re boarding 4 different buses. For first activity “ walking on the glacier snow, you get maximum 20 minutes, for second activity “ skywalk on glass surface “ 40 minutes is more than enough, though there is no time limit, you can stay as long as you like !!
