This was an amazing tour that exceeded our expectations. The combination of the Prado and Botin was such a great way to experience the history and culture of Madrid but what truly made this such an exceptional tour was our guide, Cassie. She was engaging and very personable. She has such a foundational knowledge but what made her special was her ability as a storyteller. She was able to weave a historical tale which gave a rich context to the artists and their artwork. This enhanced our appreciation and understanding of the artists and Spanish history. Ending at the oldest restaurant in the world for a great meal and more cultural immersion and history was icing on the cake (cheesecake in this instance).

Cassie was amazing! She was very knowledgeable and friendly. Her passion through art and food was admirable. She had great attention to detail with not only the staff that we visited but also the members of our group. She made the art that we would normally pass by interesting and the food at the oldest restaurant was delicious.

Took the Prado Museum and oldest restaurant tour, and it was a great experience from. Our guide, Mariano, was the best. ​He really knows his stuff and is clearly passionate about art and history. He kept the tour interactive, engaging, and genuinely interesting. He was highly professional but maintained a friendly, personal approach that made us feel welcome. ​I highly recommend this tour, and if you can get Mariano as your guide, you’re in good hands.

Cassie was absolutely outstanding and made our time in Madrid one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we met her, she was warm, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. The Botín tour was another standout experience. Her rapport with the staff and behind-the-scenes knowledge made us feel like special guests, transforming a restaurant visit into something truly unique and unforgettable. Cassie combines exceptional expertise with a warm, personable style that makes learning effortless and enjoyable. We learned so much, laughed often, and thoroughly enjoyed every minute we spent with her. If you’re looking for a guide in Madrid, we cannot recommend Cassie highly enough. She delivers a truly top-tier experience that exceeds expectations in every way.

My husband and I had a wonderful time exploring the Prado Museum and dining at Botín. Our guide, Mariano, was fabulous. So friendly and engaging with us. Mariano’s knowledge of art and art history made it even more exciting. We then headed to Botín for lunch. What an experience dining at a restaurant that has been around since 1725! Mariano provided information about the history of the establishment as well as the meal and wine we had. We would definitely recommend this tour and having Mariano as your guide.

Arantxa was an excellent guide, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and good fun. She guided us through the Prado, showing us a range of masterpieces with interesting and quirky information. Her stories bought history alive i.e the Hapsbergs, women’s roles a baby makers, buffoons, how paintings were the social media of the day!! Lunch was a wonderful experience & Arantxa’s expertise with Spanish food was a bonus. Many thanks, it made Madrid so much more memorable.

Cassie was amazing - the best guide we had in Madrid of all the tours we did!

My husband, 16 year-old daughter, and I happily attended this tour and had a wonderful experience. Cassie, our amazing guide, was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and personable. She shared interesting and fun facts about the highlighted pieces in the museum. We learned a lot while being thoroughly engaged and entertained. The length of time spent in the museum was perfect- just enough to feel captivated but not too much where our teenager lost interest. Afterwards, we had a pleasant walk to the restaurant and then a private tour of Botin before it opened to the public. We felt fortunate to get to experience this historic eatery (even our hotel concierge was impressed we were going there as to procure a reservation is very difficult!). Again, Cassie shared many fun and interesting facts and made all of us sharing the table feel like old friends with her endearing smile and conversation We thoroughly enjoyed a delicious traditional lunch (including a very scrumptious dessert- save room!!!). We definitely left smarter, happier, and full!!
