We had a great time learning the history of Madrid and Spain as a whole. The restaurant Botin was fabulous just like our tour guide, Arantxa!! An experience we will never forget - thank you Anantxa 💗Can’t wait to try your recommendations and recipes!
The tour was very enjoyable although it is a little pricey. Arantxa is very knowledgeable and pleasant. She explained the paintings very well and the restaurant and food well too. I have no hesitation to join her tours next time when we visit.
Thankyou to Arantxa, my family had an excellent experience. She is so knowledgeable and fun. We enjoyed every moment of her guide.
Arantxa was an amazing guide and was really interesting at explaining Spanish history and showing us the most significant paintings in the Prado museum that depicted it. The lunch at Botin was delicious and it was fantastic to get there early before the crowds arrived. Highly recommend this tour!

She takes you on a journey through history, providing both an artistic view of the paintings as well as some poignant anecdotes! After the Prado tour we wove our way through the streets of Madrid, where we soon found ourselves outside restaurant Botin, the oldest restaurant in the world! Being on this tour gave us access to the restaurant prior to its opening, where we were shown the old wine cellar, the still in use 300 year old kitchen/oven, before being seated for a scrumptious lunch. Not only was Cassie a great and knowledgeable guide at the Prado, she was an excellent host at lunch.

Cassie was an excellent and kind guide, she explained everything, she was super pleasant, and this tour is highly recommended, do it! The entire historical explanation of the Spanish artists and everything important about the Prado Museum, and also the experience includes an explanation of the oldest restaurant in the world, the food and the company were excellent.
Absolutely amazing tour! Cassie was fantastic - so knowledgeable, friendly and funny. I loved the way she spoke about the art and she made me feel so comfortable as a solo traveller. The food was incredible and it was nice getting to know the group!
We loved our tour - Mariono was an exceptional guide — an artist himself, he shared many fascinating tales of the artists as well as the history of Madrid illustrated by the paintings we saw and learned much about. We typically might stroll through a museum in an hour, looking at paintings but knowing little about the history. Getting a self-guided audio has never appealed, but having an expert in art take you through the museum while teaching you so much about art history made it a joy. And then the lunch was also a wonderful addition. All in all - an experience we will remember for a very long time.
Mariano was fantastic with a historical tour of the Prado linking Spanish events to schools of art and famous pieces. The walk thru the Latin quarter and then skip the line access to BOTIN with Cochinillo was a treat. Highly recommended.
