コロッセオ（Colosseum）は、イタリア・ローマの中心部、ローマ・フォーラムのすぐ東にある楕円形の円形競技場。 古代に建設された円形競技場としては過去最大であり、築年数に反して現在も世界最大のスタンディング円形競技場である。
フォーラムはローマの日常生活の中心であり、凱旋行進と選挙の場であり、公開演説、刑事裁判、剣闘士試合の場であり、商業の中心でもあった。
ローマの7つの丘から相対的に最も中央に位置するパラティヌスの丘は、市内で最も古くからある場所の1つであり、「ローマ帝国の最初の核」と呼ばれてきた。

Colosseum was an amazing experience, best part of our trip. Getting our tickets was well organised. They got sent by email and then by text a day later as I forgot to reply saying they had been relieved. So they are very proactive to make sure you have everything you need. As well as the full tickets we got sent a photo of the entrance we should take which was helpful. The audio guide was interesting but more of a general information rather than explaining the bits as you walk around. Only negative is that obviously these tickets are much more pricey than the official ones. However due to the heatwave while we were in Rome it was worth paying more to get the 8:30am tickets.

An absolute must. A wonderful trip with our family of four (7 year old and 11 year old kids). Well informed with tickets and information, the audio guide was a short half hour informative guide. Would absolutely recommend.

Tickets arrived via email as described. Good experience. The Colleseum was very busy, but enjoyable. Audio tour is via the iPhone application you need to download.

We paid 82 euros for the visit, and the surprise was that the tickets ONLY cost 36e since children do not pay for admission. At no time were we told that children entered for free. A robbery.

Never got the audio guide for this tour. Basically just paid for the ticket (which without the audio tour was way too much). Colloseum is definitely worth visiting though. Spectacular place.
