We love Around Tours and HIGHLY recommend them! We had an amazing evening on our walking Pintxos tour with Alvaro! We learned so much about the food, the history of San Sebastián and the Basque region. The Pintxos that Alvaro introduced us to were delicious. He truly made the Pintxos experience accessible and fun! We certainly would not have been able to try so many new foods without our expert guide. He made the experience really special and totally memorable. Our 9 year old son even tried and enjoyed many of the anchovy Pintxos — often times finishing the entire plate! Alvaro is personable, extremely knowledgeable and just a really nice, kind and fun person. We can’t wait to come back to San Sebastián and have Alvaro introduce us to more amazing food and wonderful experiences! I highly recommend Alvaro and Around Tours -- you will not regret it!

On our second visit to San Sebastian we did not hesitate to book 3 tours with Alvaro at the end of April this year. We had a great experience with him during our the first trip in 2022. We had visited the Rioja wine region and the French Basque coast. Both tours were great. This visit we started with a Pintxo tour in San Sebastian on Saturday night. He took us to some great places and we sampled a variety of Pintxos and wines. This gave us a good insight of where to go during our visit. Two days later we visited a family run farm that raises sheep and makes Idiazabal cheese. The tour was very interesting, the family membes were friendly and we enjoyed the tasting of their cheeses accompanied by some cider. Then onto a winery that produces the txakoli wine. Again the tour was very interesting, the wine wonderful and the countryside so beautiful. We ended the day in Getaria, a small fishing village, for so amazing grilled fish. Our next tour we visited the french basque region stopping in a few small towns and of course lunch at a great restaurant in Espelette. Alvaro takes the time to answer your questions and gives you a wealth of information about the Basque area and history. I hope we will revisit San Sebastian again in the near future and meet up with our new friend for more exploring.

My experience touring the Basque Country with Alvaro through Around Tours was amazing. I did a group txakoli basque wine tour that included visiting Zumaia’s cliffs and Getaria’s fishing village. Alvaro is not only knowledgeable about the wine & the region but he is also passionate about it, which makes it that much more enjoyable. You feel at ease on Alvaro’s tour, like you’re an old pal visiting and getting a locals only experience. Even with multiple people on a group tour, he was able to adapt to everyone’s individual needs to ensure everyone had a pleasant time. I was unable to book a pintxos tour, but Alvaro went out of his way to personally curate a list of places for me to explore. All of which were excellent! 👌🏼 I would highly recommend booking any tour with Around Tours, you will not be disappointed! It may even be the highlight of your trip!

Honestly couldn’t recommend Around Tours more! It was the most perfect day and so unbelievably well organised! We were a big group, and yet Álvaro did an incredible job of keeping us on schedule without making us feel rushed. He also remained flexible to our requests and offered alternatives to people who wanted to do something slightly different throughout the tour. It was an amazing way to see San Sebastián and the surrounding area. Worth every penny!

This experience was perfect for our group of 15-16 people. We started off with a fabulous wine tour, then to a coastal town, coastal hike & special Spanish Basque lunch along a river.
