Lovely mix of dramatic coastline, pretty seaside towns, and deeply moving history. San Juan de Gaztelugatxe is amazing (even if you haven't seen GoT!). It's worth the walk! The coastal towns were very charming and relaxing. Visiting Guernica was unexpectedly moving, and the Tree is very special. We're so glad that we got to see such a wonderful part of the world. Jose is an excellent guide, we took two tours with him and both were fantastic. We can't recommend him highly enough!

José Luis is an amazing tour guide. He gives very important historical info about Gaztelugatxe, Mundaka, Bermeo, and Gernika as well as how they work currently. He also makes great conversation in the car as we pass by things and gave us his personal recommendations for food and sights. My wife and I really appreciate him and loved his tour. His tour of Vizcaya was so good that my wife and I might have to move there!

Beautiful places. The guide attentive and very friendly, at all times providing information about the places we visited and answering our questions. Take into account that the road to reach the hermitage of Gaztelugatxe is very physically demanding, thanks to the experience of the guide we went to an appropriate time and were able to make several stops to rest. The place tidied up for lunch well.

Best day tour of the region and in Europe. Jose was friendly, knowledgeable, personable. Good pace. Great value.

My wife and I enjoyed a fabulous day out from around the Bizkaia coast courtesy of Jose on Monday 15 April 2024. He kindly met us near our apartment in Bilboa. We visited San Juan de Gaztulegatxe (SJ de G), the lighthouses at Matxitxako, the beautiful seaside towns of Bermeo and Mandaka, as well as the historic town of Guernika. Jose was excellent. He provided useful insight and was great company. His English was very good as we spoke very little spanish. Jose recommended a Basque restaurant in Bermeo for lunch which was delicious and great value. Overall we thought that the trip was brilliant and an excellent way of getting to places that would otherwise require a lot of pre-planning. Thank you Jose for ensuring we had a wonderful day and for creating fond memories.

The sights on this tour just blew us away. Basque country is really something else. And my husband and I are so happy to have been on this tour with Jose as our guide. First of all, he knows the area and its history inside-out. We enjoyed learning about the culture and people and way of life from him. He took extra time to stop and show us everything we were interested in and went seamlessly from one place to the next without rushing anywhere. What is extra special is that he offered up front to take multiple pictures of me and my husband at the various places we visited and sent them to us. So great because otherwise we would have only had selfies. Also special because this was an anniversary trip. We hope to come back to the Basque country and explore more with Jose.

Great Experience!!! We booked two tours with Jose Luis in December 2022 (Route of the Coast and Walking Tour in Bilbao) and the experience with him was the highlight of our trip. Not only did we visit many beautiful places, but we also learned a lot from his knowledge and the passion and pride he has for his country. In addition to the tours and information provided, Jose Luis always looked for photo opportunities, which he sent to us immediately, that we took back as memories for that wonderful experience. But most important is how Jose Luis made us feel during our time with him. Immediately after meeting him, we felt as if we had known him forever. I can honestly say I feel I now have a good friend in Bilbao. Next time I am in Bilbao I will probably hire Jose Luis again but for sure I will invite him and his family to dinner.
