Jarleth, our guide, was wonderful. It was like driving with an old family friend who’d been living in Western Ireland his entire life. You never quite know what you’ll get with a private tour guide and we were not disappointed. He drove us from spot to spot sharing not only historical information, but personalizing it by showing us things about his own life. The Abbey was beautiful (albeit the midges had arrived!!). We hiked a short loop around Connemara which had extraordinary views into the valley and beyond. Lunch in Clifden was perfect and we were so hungry by then… and the we were off to Sky road which was magical. We finished up with a stop at our last castle and on time, exhausted but having had another wonderful day seeing sights and learning all about Ireland’s incredible history. Highly recommend.
Hi Thanks for your great review, yes a pity about the midges they sure did know how to bite... I hope the rest of the holiday went well for you and you have some memorable moments from your Irish trip. Jarlath
