The tour was exceptional!!! The Gardens and the castle is something we are so glad we got to see and walk through!!! A True Love Story!!! Joe Joyce and his border collies on the sheep farm are great!!! It was a great experience to watch the dogs at work while they collected the sheep from the mountain side at Joes whistle commands!!! Our tour guide, Michael, was great !!! Very knowledgeable and personable!!! Thank you Lally Tours and Michael
Owen, our guide was great. He was extremely knowledgeable and shared so much history and anecdotal information. Kylemore Abbey was stunning. Meeting the sheep dogs and their owner and seeing how they work in a live demo was amazing. There were also 5 day old puppies the day we arrived which we could cuddle and were absolutely amazing. The owner shared the joys and challenges of maintaining sheep on the hills which was interesting and provided a glimpse into a centuries old tradition. Highly recommend the tours and the small group format made it more intimate and encouraged lots of questions.
We had a wonderful day with Lally Tours. It was nice to let them do the driving while experiencing the beautiful countryside of Connemara. Kylemore was amazing- and we had the most wonderful time at Joe Joyce's farm. Joe was a pleasure to meet and entertaining. We enjoyed holding the puppies and feeding baby sheep- Really an amazing day and highly recommend.
Nice way to see things without the stress of driving. Learned a lot about the area from guide, Michael. So many highlights to mention but loved holding the sheep dog puppies !
Love, love, love. Beautiful walking paths around Kylemore, the walled garden. Great tour guide, Michael. He was informative, interactive and very knowledgeable. And awesome driving skills. Love love loved the sheep dog demonstration. Got to hole a 3 week old puppy. Had to give it back though. A great way to see this part of the country. Comfortable bus ride. Lots of quick stops along the way for photos ops and stretching. And! We even got the added treat of having a full double rainbow follow us back to Galway.
This was a very nice tour. Our guide Michael was knowledgeable and heaps of fun, giving us LOTS of information as we drove around. The views were beautiful, and the sheep dogs (especially the puppies) were amazing to see. All in all, a good experience.
Can’t say enough good things about this trip. Michael was an amazing driver and host…. Everything went well. Michael explained the history of the surroundings the entire way. Top notch.
We had a wonderful experience on our small-group tour with Lally Tours in Galway. Our guide, Michael, was informative, charming, and made the entire trip enjoyable. He shared so much fascinating information throughout the day and was happy to answer all our questions. Our visit to Kylemore Abbey was wonderful. The gardens were beautiful and the Abbey was breathtaking. A highlight was visiting Joyce Country Sheepdogs, where we enjoyed a lesson in sheep herding. The short-haired Border Collies were absolutely amazing to watch—they were intelligent, energetic, and incredibly well trained. Michael’s knowledge and friendly personality made the trip truly special. It was a fantastic experience, and we would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Galway!
Exceptional experience and trip! Michael our driver was extremely funny, kind and knowledgeable! He really made the trip fantastic and a real craic! Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Galway wanting to see Connemara and kylemore Abbey! Visiting Joe Joyce was a fab ending to the day also!
