This was a great adventure. We always try to find something to do with a local flair and this did not disappoint at all. The making of Paella was really fun. Cleaning squid, Langostino, clams, and mussels was very interesting and fun. Made a simple tasty dessert. All recipes are included and there is more food leftover than you will imagine.
Absolutely incredible! I have celiac disease and the entire crew was so careful with my allergy, Yaya made sure everything was gluten free for me and safe! Even the dessert which was a cake was gluten free!
This class was the best! We have made paella before but not like this! Gabi and Hugo were very accomodating with my food allergies and helped me to make a successful paella that I will make when I get home. Thank you so much!
Our private cooking class was amazing. Our chef Ianto was a great guy. He accommodated our personal tastes excellently and adapted what we cooked without a problem. The whole evening was very enjoyable and we learned a lot. We will definitely cook the paella and the cake at home. I would highly recommend this cooking experience to everyone
What a lovely evening with Ianto! We started at the Sant Josep Mercat Boqueria shopping for squid, mussels, clams, and langostinos (prawns). Ianto taught us how to select the freshest seafood. We went back to the lab and prepared the seafood following his careful and humorous instruction. We learned proper knife technique and how to remove the intestine without butterflying the langostinos. By the end of the evening we had a delicious meal that we had helped prepare and we had made a new friend. This experience was so much fun and educational. Ianto is a great teacher - so engaging and knowledgeable. A highly recommended experience!
The Paella Cooking class was amazing! The Chef helped us from visiting a local open air market to how to pick out the freshest seafoods for our recipe! In the kitchen he guided us step-by-step to create the tastiest Paella ever! We also made our own Sangria and enjoyed a great meal with the participants in our group! Fun for the whole family! Fantastic cooking class with our chef Alberto. We learned a lot about the history of Pealla and the prep involved as well. It was a great hands-on experience. We did not visit the Market only because the market was closed for the holiday.

We had such a fun time with Simon! We started by taking a short walk to the market, where we selected the fresh seafood for our paella. After we returned, Simon guided us through the process of cleaning and preparing the seafood, and then assembling and cooking the paella. While the paella was cooking, we made an delicious almond cake with orange zest. Simon was GREAT - he was informative and fun. I recommend this adventure wholeheartedly!
This was an absolutely wonderful experience. We had so much fun shopping at the market and making our seafood paella. Our chef/instructor Simon was so knowledgeable and very patient while teaching the group. He answered everyone’s questions and still managed to supervise us making a fabulous dinner. His co-chef Ianot was also exceptional. My husband does not like seafood and they were very kind to him and made him feel included with a chicken paella. Ianot taught my husband how to make a rose garnish out of the skin of a tomato. 💗. We also made our own sangria. This was the highlight of our trip to Barcelona. I highly recommend this group cooking class.
