Terrible, the audio guide only works for the lake, the guide barely speaks English, no Spanish at all, and is very intolerant when trying to make herself understood with her poor English and no Spanish, but above all, she is intolerant and does not look for solutions, as easy as asking who else speaks Spanish to help each other and help us. VERY expressive bodily and with her gestures to make HER DISPLEASURE NOTED to Spanish speakers, her name is Gudrun, I never saw her wear a badge so we wouldn't get lost, very bad experience, the driver was rude to everyone, in general a beautiful place but...

Hallstatt is beautiful village , worth visiting. Tour gives enough time to visit the village + short boat ride.
Excellent day trip, well organized .Pick up place by the Opera house was easy to find.Hallstatt is a beautiful village. It was a long drive, but worth it, There was enough time to spend in the village. We also had a 30 min boat ride around lake included in the tour. Our guide was Gudrun, Great guide. She explained everything in English . We were a large group [55 people ).

Beautiful Hallstatt
Tour started on time , communication was great and journey was comfortable. Guide was great , they spoke English and provided barcode for other languages.

Avoid this tour
What a rip-off!!!!! €110/person for this junk!!! They take you by bus, you drive for 4 hours (with 3/4 of an hour to eat at a highway restaurant with a €50 buffet). They will then drop you off for 3 hours in the city and you wait for your little boat ride!!! They announce a tour of the lake so you can enjoy the view of Hallstatt from the boat, but no!!!!! You just cross for 5 minutes to get back to your bus and return to Vienna. Avoid this scam!!!! AVOID IT

Long bus ride but...
Long bus ride but definitely worth the trip to see this gorgeous little town. The boat trip across the lake was a definite highlight.

Stunning Sights and Knowledgeable Guides
Overall, this was a very enjoyable trip with well-chosen stops between Vienna and Hallstatt that broke up the drive nicely. Having audio guides available in multiple languages was a huge plus, and our tour guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and engaging throughout the day.
That said, communication regarding logistics could be improved. Clearer instructions on exact meeting points and times would eliminate unnecessary confusion. Additionally, the boat portion on the lake was essentially just a quick ferry transfer; a longer, dedicated scenic cruise would have made the experience feel complete. Still, it's a solid, scenic day trip that offers great value with just a few minor tweaks needed on timing and coordination.

Hallstatt - scenic - but disappointed
The town of Hallstatt is very scenic and there are plenty of shopping and eating opportunities during the day. The boat ride was disappointing. It is a rather large lake and there are other tours to take around the lake. This boat tour only goes directly from one side of the lake to the other to catch the bus. There is enough time during the break to book a full tour on the lake for visitors. I would visit Hallstatt again but without the boat tour offered, and would arrange a boat tour on my own.

Houstonians in Hallstatt
Our trip was amazing. Our tour guide,Karen, was incredible and very funny. She is very knowledgable from the start of the tour explaining parts of Vienna to the end! The bus ride was a great way to see parts of Austria we may not have been able to see. Hallstatt is a beautiful lake town. The mountains and town are so picturesque that everywhere you turn offers a beautiful view. The boat ride at the end of the tour is a perfect way to bid farewell to the charming city.

Excellent day trip for adults
We had a wonderful time on our day trip to Hallstatt. Our tour guide Christopher, was a wonderful guide. Very friendly and has lots of information for everyone. This is along day trip, so this isn't really for children. You'll have two stops, one on the way there and one on the way back for bathroom break and meals. The tour bus very clean and neat, the driver was very good and kept everyone safe. Hallstatt is very picturesquest. It is crowded with tourists, so be patient. Lord of walking around and lots of restaurants and shops.
