The travel guide Echohawk was excellent. She knew her staff. Good tour to do again. We saw bears from the distance. Salmon making their way to place their eggs. Native tour of the Alaskan people.

Interesting tour. Went to a number of different places all around & near the city. Our tour guide Echohawk was very knowledgeable and answered every question. She demonstrated extremely interesting information. We enjoyed this tour a lot!

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and shared much of the culture associated with the Totem poles.

Guide was a native, very informed, very proud to be a native who wanted to share her culture with us. she loved her job and culture and wanted to share it.

Our driver/guide, Ms EchoHawk, was very knowledgeable - she pointed out businesses she suggested we patronize, a museum by the US Forestry Department which we went to & good restaurants in the downtown area. There were only us 3 on the tour & she did us a huge favor by twice taking us by the FedEx office so that I could get my passport which had been sent from NYC by overnight (well, it took 5 days to get here, but at least it got here & it was only bc of the kindness of our driver). So, we were definitely the outlier bc of this - but the tour was really interesting, we saw lots of spawning salmon, we saw bear trails, and eagles; we learned a bit about their politics in AK, and one of her sons is running for the AK state legislature. We didn’t see any bear, but she taught us a lot about co existing w bear - basically her advice was to always walk with a large dog, don’t look at your phone & never be out there with babies or small children. Don’t jog or even cycle. We learned a lot about what things cost in terms of transportation and getting ready for winter by hunting & fishing. She also pointed out to us where landslides have happened- so while Ketchikan is a very unique city, we could see that nature can be harsh! We are just so thankful she was our guide, today!

Our tour guide, Beta, a Tlingit native, was amazing. She totally made this the most interesting and informative tour I have been on in a long time. The tour bus, a passenger van, was OK, over air-conditioned, but a minor inconvenience. Beta's knowledge of everything related to the area and the culture was encyclopedic. We went on two prior excursions that were sold to us via a cruise ship, and they were not nearly as informative or passionate as Clan House's tour. The area is beautiful and we got to see a cultural clan house, totem poles, bear, running salmon, and nature up close plus a mini tour of Ketchikan. I highly recommend this operator.

This was an amazing experience! Meta (I'm sorry, I dont know the spelling) was an amazing guide. She was extremely educated, knowledge and passionate about her culture and teaching us! We were able to see and learn so much! I had no idea about Clan Houses. Another favorite was a bear eating salmon in a creek. He was so fat his belly swayed side to side when he walked! I felt very lucky that Meta was our guide. I would take another tour with her again.

We were promptly picked up and our lovely guide was a delight, she was so knowledgeable of the area and very proud of her heritage and we loved her stories and explanation of the indigenous heritage and culture of the area We saw brown bears, bald eagles and we had a great time with her.

The guide was great. She provided a lot of information about Ketchikan. The Totems Park visit was wonderful. Our guide was very accommodating. I would recommend Clan Tours.

We had a really good experience on this excursion. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the culture. We got to see heaps of salmon & she gave us information on local spots. We didn’t see any bears - but saw eagles & whales.
