Intimate and romantic. The couple are wonderful hosts and the sunset trip is a perfect way to see the river landscape of Porto. Its a perfect balance between the big boats that are overcrowded and the small fast boats that seem claustrophobic. Highly recommended

Bruna and her husband are amazing hosts who will take you out on the river, provide wine and charcuterie, and share a bit about the river and region. The photos on the hammock hanging off the back of the boat are a must! There are many sunset tours on the Douro, but this one is A+++++. Have dinner in the fishing village afterwards.

Cruise was great. If you looking for a relaxing sunset that see all of the Druro River on the Porto and Gaia sides. This is for you. A complimentary drink and appetizer is served.

Beautiful boat contrary to most tourboats that sail the Douro. With excellent eye for detail and care for guests. English and French spoken by Brune and her partner. Great snacks and a nice glass of portwine and even a blanket when the evening turned a bit cold. I would definitely recommend this tour and it is fabulous that the maximum number of people is only 10. We were so lucky as to sail with 4 people only. Almost a private tour. More than worth the money!!

First, the couple that own and operate the Happy Doura are wonderful. It was going to rain the night we first booked the cruise, and they contacted us to offer to reschedule for either any earlier sailing or for the sunset trip the next day. We chose the latter and benefitted from beautiful weather and a picturesque sunset. Two thumbs up for being both proactive and flexible! Second, the beverages (we chose white wine) and food were delicious. The snacks included homemade tomato jam to go along with cheese, crackers, chorizo, olives and peanuts. Third, the Happy Douro is a beautiful boat and it was great to sail with such a small group. In addition my wife and I, there was just a six-person family group. The boat was small enough to encourage meeting and speaking with the other family but large enough so we could have our own space. For example, we ate in the bow while they enjoyed their snacks around a larger table in the stern. After passing under the six bridges and Porto, we enjoyed the last minutes of sunset near the mouth of the Douro, with a nature preserve to one side (with flamingos!) and a view of the lighthouse off the other. It was gorgeous! Very few of the other river cruise boats ( and none of the larger operations) waited until the sun actually set before heading back. I would highly recommend the Happy Douro experience!

This was an amazing tour! It was perfect for an intimate sunset tour. The boat was super cute and traditional, way better than a modern yacht. It was a group of 8 of us. There was comfortable seating for all us. The hosts were super nice and served us a wonderful meat and cheese platter with homemade jam. They also had a swing off the back of the boat, where we took sunset photos. The experience was worth way more than what we paid. Highly highly recommend.

Great experience on a beautiful vessel. Welcome drink, two hours in the water and a great sunset photo opportunity at sunset. Highly recommend.

Would highly recommend this boat trip. It was made to feel very personal as only a small number of people on the boat. The hosts were lovely and very welcoming and accommodating to everyone. Cheese and meat platter was excellent and lots of photo opportunities. We did the 6pm sunset trip and blankets were provided if it gets a little chilly. Worth paying a little more than the other boat trips on offer as it felt very special.
