⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An absolute highlight of our trip to Lisbon! Our pastel de nata class with Home Cooking Lisbon was warm, engaging, and exceptionally well-organized from start to finish. Our instructor, Francisco, was fantastic—patient, knowledgeable, and full of great tips for getting that iconic flaky crust and caramelized custard just right. He also shared the wonderful history behind the pastry, making the experience feel deeply authentic. Working in the cookery school was a great , and sitting down to enjoy our warm, freshly baked tarts with a traditional drink at the end was the ultimate reward. We left with detailed recipes and a new skill we can't wait to try back home. We would definitely try one of the other courses they offer such as the Portuguese tapas if we return to Lisbon. This was a super informative hands on class and the group was a cross section of ages/ genders and nationalities. A good time had by all!

I loved the cooking class so much! Such a cool way to get some hands on experience of Portuguese culture. Our host Martha was also incredible! The class was perfect and it was so fun working in pair with our friends. I also loved that the provide you recipe cards at the end so you can just focus on the experience during the class.

We had the best time! The instructor was so helpful and learning how to make them was so fun! We each got to eat two of them then we had a box to take home to eat later! The drink options we got to enjoy after baking were wonderful!

great experience, while not skilled in baking, the home bakery team gave an expert display and helped us in creating our own pastries. our group was mixed from young to old and got along great. highly recommend this experience

We loved that it was hands-on—we got to make Portugal’s famous Pastéis de Nata ourselves and enjoy them fresh out of the oven. They were warm, crispy, creamy, and absolutely delicious.
