説明
スコットランドで2番目に人気の観光名所で、この城に住んでいた王や女王の物語など、血なまぐさい歴史について学びます。 ここには3000年近く前から砦があったという証拠があり、少なくとも12世紀のデイヴィッド1世の治世以来、王城となっています。スコットランドの君主たちは1633年までこの城を使い続け、城壁内でジェームズ6世の誕生も見届けました。 ツアーはロイヤルマイルから始まり、その後城に向かいます。そこでガイドが城の起源や包囲戦について語ります。 城壁内に入ると、ガイドが要塞のさまざまな部分を案内し、魅力的な歴史を語ってくれます。複合施設内には、3 つの博物館、2 つの刑務所、犬の墓地、聖マーガレット礼拝堂、スコットランド戦没者国立記念碑、グレート ホール、王宮があります。(ツアー全体は屋外で行われます。ツアー中は建物には立ち入りできません。)

Dress warmly. Windy and chilly even in August and the wind is unbelievable. A good raincoat a must. The castle is stunning and awe inspiring . Don’t miss the was chapel. The windows are amazing. Sonia was a fantastic guide and made sure we had all the information we needed to see everything.
Charlie did a great job! Great pace. Great information. Good sense of humor and dealt well with many personalities. We would use him again
It is well worth the money, informative and a good way to be introduced to the castle. It is a steep climb up to the top however it has lots of regular stops so it makes it manageable for most people. Dress for the weather it is colder at the top lol . Our tour guide Sonia was fantastic she gave us lots of giggles along the way and really enhanced the whole experience
Very enjoyable tour. Well paced and Raj was very friendly & informative.
Raj was excellent, he has a great depth of knowledge and good sense of humor.
Meet up place was very congested during Festival days. I felt we could have dodged the crowds by starting a bit closer to the castle instead of central Old Town. The guide, Kathryn, was extraordinary.
Nick was very funny and informative. Naturally it was incredibly busy since our tour was the weekend that the Fringe festival started but he was able to keep our group together and engaged with a lot of funny and interesting stories.
This was a great tour and Nick was wonderful. Some history and fun facts about the castle and all the buildings within. It was cool to be able to see the 1 o’clock gun go off and hear the story behind it!
