シンクヴェリル国立公園では、アイスランドのスリリングで少し恐ろしくもある歴史を学ぶことができます。ユネスコ世界遺産に指定されているだけあって、とても見応えがあります。アイスランドの民主主義発祥の土地を歩き、Drowning PoolやGallows Rockなど、バイキング時代の裁判が行われた場所を訪れます。シンクヴェトリルは地殻変動によって2枚のプレートが徐々に分断し、急勾配の断崖とアイスランド最大の自然湖、シンクヴァルラヴァトンを特徴とする広大な原野が生まれた場所でもあります。
その最初の名前であるグレート・ゲイシールは、ゲイシール地熱活動地帯のハウカダルールにあります。この地域全体は、蒸気口から沸騰する泥ピットや最大の見所である間欠泉など、地熱活動で沸き立っています。世界各地の間欠泉はすべて、ゲイシールにちなんで名付けられています。
グレート・ゲイシールは最近では時々噴火するのみで、最後に噴火したのは2016年でしたが、近くにあるストロックル間欠泉は数分ごとに高温のお湯を空中に噴き出すことで、見る人を楽しませています。
アイスランドで最も人気のある滝は、間違いなくグトルフォス（黄金の瀧）です。何千もの滝がある国では、これは相当の規模です。グトルフォスは、アイスランド屈指の美しさを誇ると言われており、当然、その規模は最大です。標高32メートルを落下して渓谷に入っていくクビート川のごう音を聞くと、爽快な気分になります。晴れた日には、滝から立ち上る霧に虹をたくさん見ることができます。滝の周りには、滝の下まで続く道がいくつかあるため、レインコートを着用し、カメラを準備してください。

Great way to cap the trip. Superb guide
Tour company does not provide hotel pickup as Viator told me on the phone and on my reservation The hotel receptionist noticed us waiting and told us we needed to go to a bus stop three blocks away. Once there, we found out we had missed the bus. We sadly missed the highlight of our trip to Reykjavik, Iceland.
Kefir was a great guide, Tomas an expert driver. Comfortable, connectivity all the way, great tour for the money. Icelandic joke: what do you do when you get lost in Iceland? A—Stand up!
Excellent trip although the cruise terminal pick up instructions needed to be updated. Reference was made to a white building which had been demolished 2 years ago. The coach pick up from the cruise terminal is in the main car park at the main entrance to the port
Be sure to wear rugged shoes and a waterproof coat. The hikes down and up to the sites are fairly easy. The sites are beautiful!
The guide gave very good info filled commentary during the tour so you should pay attention! A lot was covered over 3 stops ...

Wonderful experience! Our guide Leifur and our driver Tomasz were excellent. The bus itself was very clean and comfortable, it could have been brand new. We were very lucky and had fantastic weather and were able to see all the sights very well. Leifur was very knowledgeable and a great duifeI felt the time alotted at each stop was good. Note that for some stops, the best views require a short hike, but this is not a requirement as most of the basic viewing spots are on fairly flat land. Also note this tour might not be accessible for those with moderate mobility limitations.
