We had excellent guides in Israel, Cairo and Rome, Lucky was equally excellent. Very knowledgeable, engaging and knew everything about all of the booths and stops along the way. And the food tastings: great variety and delicious. If you can, ask for Lucky.
Our group of six recently took this food tour at Pike Place Market, and overall, it was a wonderful way to experience the local culinary scene. The route was fantastic, and every food and drink stop was delicious and well-curated. The market atmosphere made for a perfect backdrop to the tasting experience. Our guide, Bob, was exceptionally knowledgeable about the history, vendors, and food offerings. However, his delivery left something to be desired. Whenever members of our group asked questions, his responses were consistently curt, condescending, and somewhat arrogant, which put a damper on the group dynamic. We highly recommend the tour itself for anyone looking to sample the best of Pike Place, but we would suggest requesting a different guide to ensure a more welcoming experience.
The guy was very helpful. Had a lot of knowledge the snacks that we had a long way were awesome. He shared great photos of the history of Pike market and recommend recommended some really great things. He was very pleasant and fun although I was a great experience.
Lots of history of the market. Delicious food! Definitely gets crowded, so plan to go as early as possible.
We really enjoyed the tour today. Chip made the tour very interesting with background information on all the food outlets within the market. The quality of the food we tasted was top class. Sorry we didn’t do this tour earlier so we could go back, but unfortunately we are leaving Seattle in the morning.
Great tour by Lucky. It was great to get in the meet early before the crowds and Lucky was extremely personable and knowledgeable.
So much of any tour depends on the guide and Lucky was the best. He shared history and local knowledge that made it so interesting with facts and good humor. The tastings were varied, plentiful and delicious. We were happy to have the early tour with less crowds and watching the market come alive. So fun. Highly recommend.
Lucky was a bundle of fun and we felt very prepared to explore the market once the tour was over. We got many delicious bites, so much that we did not need lunch!
Great fun, Woody is knowledgeable about his city, took us to very iconic food establishments, and areas of interest around Pike’s marketplace. We received more than enough in samples. Great experience and highly recommend!
This was a great tour. Lucky was a great guide!! I would recommend going early as the market gets quite crowded later on.
