If the tour is restarted manually or the app resets, it can start over—usually, starting from the recommended point and staying on the route helps it resume correctly. The tour was informative and gave you plenty of warning before stops. The tour had correct information on the type of trail each trail was. Take the detours they are worth the extra time. Some took me longer then the tour said they would. I suggest downloading the tour and looking it over a head of time to figure out what stops you absolutely want to do. Also the Nike Missile site turn is on the road to the Royal Palm visitor center. I took the tour the National Park offers for free. It is 1.5 - 2 hours very informative the guide was awesome. Well worth the the extra time

It didn't work. Kept trying to take us back to the starting point. It was a waste of time and money. There was no one to talk to us.

The audio tour app was about as good as it could be, but we were short on time and could only do one of the short hikes. This is where you can experience the Everglades, rather than just observing from your vehicle.

One nice thing about this self-guided tour is that you can go at your own pace and even split it across multiple days—your tour stays valid for a full year after purchase, so you can always come back to explore more hikes and stops when time allows. This audio guide worked great for us. The only issue is finding the starting point, but you can just put in Robert Is Here Fruit Stand and start the tour, and it will sync with your location. It uses GPS and always knows where you are so no need to stop and start. It helped us choose which hikes to do (we skipped the two longest ones). It also advised us that one was closed. I recommend this guide!
