MUST KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
Okay. A few things that are a NEED TO KNOW before you go! I would like to say that this was GREAT! The self guided tour is really really easy to follow. And it’s super informative. So we never got lost or anything. It’s literally step by step. Here are the tips: 1) Download the Action Tour Guide on WiFi at your hotel etc. Do this before you go! 2) You will receive an OTP Code emailed to you. For some reason I received two. The 1st one was for Acadia Maine. The 2nd was the correct one. Obviously the Maine one was not correct as I wanted the Florida Everglades - Luckily you can email Action Tour Guide and they respond fast. 3) After App Installed - you will put in that OTP code 4) DO NOT start at the suggested starting point - this is a Bus Depot. Just put in your GPS Ernest F Coe Visiting Center. This is your starting point. **you do need to pay to get into the park” in addition to what this costs. 5) BUG SPRAY A MUST - Kept me big free for the most part 6) Mosquitos at Flamingo ARE THE WORST- THEY WILL ATTACK no joke! 7) One way in, One way out so prepare to go to the end and turn around. 8) MOST IMPORTANT TO KNOW: GPS DEAD halfway through this tour! We were both in SOS for a good 45 minutes in and out of this park. This is a great time !’ Definitely must do!

Wonderful experience
Once we got through the park gates there was an abundance of birds and critters in the road, lubbers, same family as cricket family. Saw soft shell turtles, one digging a nest for eggs, large bird of prey which couldn’t identify, had small snake in its beak, wandered through one of the stops, oki poki, we then seen a Blue Herron, which we thought we startled and it flew away quite dramatically, to which we looked down where the Herron was, and a alligator was lying in the water, which we think the herron had a lucky escape!, We stayed in flamingo lodge where they had built rooms from shipping containers, beds were squeaky and uncomfortable but everything else was fine. Just watch for mosquitoes as they’re in abundance even with repellent, good drive in and out, great roads and the app was fantastic as told all you needed to know about the Everglades. 5 ⭐️

Everglades Tour February
The tour was informative and gave you plenty of warning before stops. The tour had correct information on the type of trail each trail was. Take the detours they are worth the extra time. Some took me longer then the tour said they would. I suggest downloading the tour and looking it over a head of time to figure out what stops you absolutely want to do. Also the Nike Missile site turn is on the road to the Royal Palm visitor center. I took the tour the National Park offers for free. It is 1.5 - 2 hours very informative the guide was awesome. Well worth the the extra time
