We had a great guide in George. He was very knowledgeable and was eager to find the birds and wildlife to show us. We were fortunate to see a male and female Great Curassow - in this case, the female was much prettier than the male, a 3 wattle bellbird, toucanet and many others. He was cautious of our pace given some limitations and checked in often. We really enjoyed our guided tour and would highly recommend him.

Vinny was our guide. He was so passionate about the birds and plants. We saw so many reclusive species of birds that normally were deeper in the forest. Hummingbirds, larger ground birds and even a sloth were there. He knew how to do dozens of bird calls and knew where to find different birds by their calls. Must do.

My girlfriend and I were lucky enough to do 2 guided tours with George in Curicancha - with no other guests. After our first tour, we immediately booked another with him. These two guided tours were the highlight of our 2 week trip to Costa Rica!, and I say that from experience (we did many during our trip). George is very knowledgeable and passionate about the wildlife there, and it is really infectious, so much so that Curicancha became our favourite reserve too. He obviously knows every square inch of that place and if you want to have the best chance of seeing wildlife in Curicancha, you’ll be in the best of hands with him. He speaks excellent English too and made sure the tour focused on what we wanted to see and experience. Don’t think you can ask more from a guide really - the rest is just luck and which animals etc. happen to be there on the day…….we saw everything on our wish list, bar one. Finally, when all the other guides are asking George where to find a particular bird etc. you know you are with the best guide. Need I say more? Don’t miss out on this experience, is my advice…..I can confidently say you won’t regret it!

Great, great tour with George our guide who was very friendly and knowledgeable. We even saw two quetzals which is quite unusual apparently. Apart from that there were many birds and George took some great photos with my phone through his spotting scope.

Our tour with George was the highlight of an amazing week in Monteverde. We had many incredible experiences, and this tour was far and away the best. George filled the tour with such care, knowledge, and heart. Our six year old and nine year old connected with him immediately and he made everything very accessible. The tour had a very peaceful vibe with deep presence and we all felt a profound connection to the place, thanks to George. He also took and sent us incredible photos of the animals we saw. We can’t wait for another tour with George - be sure to check out the many different experiences he offers!

Great walk! There was an error on my part regarding dates, but George made sure we got out walk. Viny was a great guide! He pointed out so much and was knowledgeable about the area, plants, and wildlife. 5 stars!

We came to Monteverde for a two day sister’s trip. I had read about the cloud forest before and I thought it was very unique and really wanted to make our first time in Costa Rica just focused in Monteverde. Wow, you can enter into the curry concha reserve without a guide, I would highly recommend getting a guide. George came with a scope and binoculars. He taught us how to use binoculars. he took so many photos for us through the scope that we would never have had otherwise. We would never have even seen the birds that he pointed out. We were able to go to the transitional forest and into the cloud forest. I’m so glad we had this experience and even though it is pricier than doing it yourself, it is definitely worth it.

My husband and I just had the pleasure of a tour in the cloud forest with George Jnr. He is so passionate about the forest and knowledgeable - and very good at spotting creatures! We learned a lot. Thanks to his perseverance we even managed to see two stunning quetzals. Would definitely recommend for anyone seeking appreciation of the beautiful and unique forest.
