When visiting Edinburgh, there are so many possible tours you can take to see and learn about this fascinating city. Booking The Potter Trail was a priority for me. Our tour witch Mel was kind, engaging, and delightful, incorporating stories about Edinburgh's history to keep even my muggle husband interested. If you can, bring cash to tip your witch/wizard guide, as service in the city can be spotty sometimes, and that can affect the card reader's connectivity.
Mel was a great storyteller and an ablaoluty heartwarming person who truly loves what she does. The tour is for everyone young and old and it was absolute pleasure. Definetly for anyone who loves Harry Potter but maybe doesn’t want to support the author;).

Enjoyable experience which included an in depth tour of the Grey Friars Kirk yard and surrounding points of intetest - all of which provided inspiration to JK Rowling. Our guide Colin was excellent -very knowledgeable & friendly. Tour took approximately 90 minutes and is free although I would encourage leaving the guide with a donation as this also supports their work.

A fantastic, witty and enlightening group tour with Alistair today. He took us on a magical adventure, weaving local history through the legend of Harry Potter and his creator and was fabulous with the kids (both young and old alike).
