We knew it was going to be a long day and it certainly was, but we saw and experienced a lot. Alex was our guide and had lots of information and a great sense of humor. There were frequent enough stops, but having a small group meant we weren’t just waiting in bathroom lines at every stop. If your time and transportation are limited, this is a great way to see the amazing Highlands!
Beautiful for those who want just a taste of what is on offer in this fabulous country! Kylie, our guide, made the trip. Endless knowledge, family friendly, super engaging and an authentic passion for the country, its history, landscape, people and culture. I couldn’t recommend her more. Great communication. Lots of stops and stories to go with kept the long journey really engaging.
I was a little apprehensive about booking a 12-hour tour, but if you're on the fence, my advice is simple: do it! If you're only in Scotland for 3-4 days, this is the perfect way to pack a lot into one day and get out of the city. The Highlands are absolutely stunning, Loch Ness is beautiful, and seeing the Highland cows was such a fun bonus. There are plenty of stops along the way for photos, food, shopping, and restroom breaks, which makes the long day fly by. A huge shoutout to our guide, Jack, who was fantastic. His passion for Scotland really shines through, and he's the perfect mix of knowledgeable and hilarious. We learned so much while being thoroughly entertained the whole way. An unforgettable day and one of the highlights of our trip! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Excellent tour, just a long time in a coach, but we knew that. Dave was an amazingly knowledgeable guide/driver and he made the tour the success it was, despite road works extending the time on the road, and the average Scottish weather. We’d seen much of this area before and still enjoyed the tour, but if you haven’t, what a great way of getting an introduction to Scotland. Definitely recommend Rabbie’s as a professional, friendly and flexible tour operator.
This was a great tour. Our guide, Rhys, was wonderful! He did a great job explaining the history, engaging the group, and DJing. He interjected a few personal sentiments which made the stories even more touching. :) His recommendations were great! Shout out to wife, Sam. :) The van was comfortable and big enough to fit, but small enough to make it fit in twists and turns. The meeting point instructions were clear.
I want to write the honest review as I book all my tours after reading reviews. We actually missed this tour by 5 minutes. Then we were booked in the other tour for highlands and Dewar whiskey tour . Our operator/ bus driver Jiery was so good . We enjoyed the whole tour . I don’t know which that tour was but end of the day we had lot of fun .
Hi, Thank you for such a nice review. I'm glad to hear that we were able to book you on a different tour after missing the original booked tour. It seems like you had a lot of fun learning all things about Whiskey. Hopefully, we'll have the chance to welcome you on tour again in the tour and offer you another great experience. All the best, Camille
Although it was a long trip, Russell made the experience seem quick. He was kind, witty, a great storyteller, and an excellent driver. His knowledge of the Highlands and the history surrounding Scotland were spectacular. I also loved that he used an ice breaker for all sixteen passengers to talk a little about themselves. Were it not for that, we may not have known we were sitting directly in front of a couple who lived ten minutes away from us in the states and who shared mutual friends. Overall, 10/10 stars for Russell and Rabbies.
Transport legs too long, no historical or cultural objectives, stops too short especially since several of the company's vehicles stop at the same time in identical places, results in short visit times, occupied with waiting for the restroom or for fast food in places that are suddenly overrun, the boat leg without much interest; sublime landscapes but seen at full speed without any stop times, for the castles and other ruins...we were told they exist without being able to at least catch a glimpse of them, not worth leaving Edinburgh for such a race! Even for the distillery we were rushed...and without any explanations. NO POINT IN BEING IN A SMALL GROUP WHEN ALL THE OTHER BUSES ARE MAKING THE SAME STOPS AT THE SAME TIME. Really disappointing! The only positive note is the driver Niels who is pleasant and a very good storyteller.
It’s a long day, but you hit all the highlights in the Highlands. We saw so many beautiful, lakes and mountains, took a boat trip on the Loch Ness, and we even got to feed a hairy coo! Neil was a fantastic guide and did a great job, catering to all ages and interests.
Definitely enjoyed this trip! Long day but got to see A LOT. Glencoe was a highlight that we weren’t expecting! So beautiful. Alex D., you were hilarious and we learned a lot too. Unfortunately the road closure (due to an accident) changed our itinerary, Alex handled it just fine and we still enjoyed our day. Alex D, remember, when frustrated with traffic….HONK & WAVE! 😉😂 Alex D’s Granny…he’s a hoot and we all wished we could meet you too! We’d HIGHLY recommend booking with Rabbie’s!!
