The driver picked up & dropped me on time & at the spot. Sitting at back of the jeep is fun & you are allowed to stand up in soft roads. But I feel the allocation of time along the trip can be adjusted - would love to spend more time in the forest and less so in Porto mortiz. Some of the view points along the way was less impressive

My partner and I became aware of \"Safari Madeira Island\" through the madeiratours.eu website. We booked the East tour first and the West tour a few days later. The formal processing of the tours was handled via WhatsApp, which worked without any problems. We wanted to be picked up at the hotel since it was located outside of Funchal, which was possible for a small surcharge. We would like to mention that positively here. West tour: Our guide's name was Pedro. He was a really great and nice tour guide, with whom we felt very comfortable. He shared quite a bit about the places visited and was always open to questions and personal conversations. That means he was an approachable person and we did not feel the tour was on a purely business basis, even though it naturally was that too. We enjoyed everything and the viewpoints were simply great. We recommend the tour. The tour lasted around 6-7 hours. Good driver for Madeira :) East Tour: Our guide's name was Alex. He, too, was a really nice and comparatively young tour guide at 23 years old. Since we primarily speak German and Alex both understood it well and spoke it largely fluently, the alternation from English to German was also very pleasant. He was very nice and liked to joke around with us tourists. Good driver for Madeira :) Conclusion: Both tours are worth it for the price of €67 per person (as of September 2026). You get pleasant tour guides who adapt to the tourists and convey the feeling as if they also love their job. The latter is particularly important.

Amazing tour of the west!! 10/10 guide and jeep highly recommend

We had an absolutely fantastic day on our Jeep safari in Madeira! There were 4 adults in our group, and it turned out to be one of the best days of our trip. Our guide, Pedro, was wonderful — kind, knowledgeable, funny, and incredibly passionate about Madeira. He explained everything in great detail in both Portuguese and English, making sure everyone understood and felt included. The whole experience was so much fun, with beautiful scenery, interesting places, and plenty of laughs along the way. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide or a better day! We highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Madeira. Definitely the best day trip! 🚙🌴⛰️
