After a great day out exploring the East side, we really looked forward to doing the West Coast tour with Roberto. We stopped for a great lunch at a cafe he pointed out, had a Madeira tasting and always managed to be ahead of the crowds. We travelled in great comfort with an excellent and knowledgeable driver.

We had 2 fantastic days and enjoyed the beautiful Madeira, and the tour of the West/East coast. Tour operator Roberto showed us all the beauty, visited local cafes, and let us enjoy the delicious drink Poncha. We also visited a wine tasting, where we were allowed to taste the wine from 3- 5 and 10 years old 👍 Very extensive information about the island benefited us, and several stops were planned for taking beautiful pictures. Our guide, driver and co owner Roberto was very enthusiastic, thoughtful, knowledgeable and sensible, altering the itinerary depending on the weather conditions. The Mercedes people car was very comfortable and driven well. It was worth the expense of a more personal service and quality trip. I have no hesitation in recommending Madeira Electric Tours.

It’s always a gamble when you book a tour based solely on descriptions and reviews, but we are SO lucky we picked this one with Roberto and his tour company! We knew we wanted to see as much as possible in the 2 days we had available, so we booked the full day tour of the western side of the island with Roberto. He drives a very comfortable electric Mercedes van and makes sure to take you on the route that the tour buses can’t. We were pleased to find out that he purposefully plans his tour in the opposite direction of the others, to avoid congestion at the well known sites, and takes you to the some of the “off the beaten path” places as well. It’s a chance to see the true Madeira through the eyes of a local. Without a doubt, we can emphatically recommend Roberto and The Electric Tour Company for all your Madeiran travel adventures!!

We had an absolutely fantastic day on the Electric Car Madeira West Tour! From start to finish it was an unforgettable and great experience. Our guide Roberto was just great – incredibly competent, personable and with a real passion for Madeira. He has shared so many exciting stories, inside information and background knowledge with us that we would never have discovered on our own. It felt like exploring the island with a friend who really loves his homeland. The west of Madeira is breathtakingly beautiful, and discovering it with an electric car made the experience even more special and sustainable. Everything was relaxed, well organized and perfectly coordinated. We can absolutely recommend Roberto’s tour to any Madeira visitor – it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip!

Amazing scenery and sights along the coast of Madeira, highlight is Porto Moniz and the viewing platform at Cabo Girão. Roberto is a really knowledgeable guide and made our trip so interesting. He couldn’t have done more. We were so glad we picked this trip over the traditional Jeep tour. Great views from the van and no possibility of being stuck in a rear seat facing inwards!
