Upon arrival, a host is available near the entrance to assist with ticket collection and ensure a smooth start to your visit. However, please note that all visitors are required to pass through security checks, which can result in some waiting time regardless of the type of ticket. Regarding the museum itself, while Michelangelo’s David is certainly the most iconic masterpiece, the Accademia Gallery also houses an important collection of Renaissance works that many visitors find highly valuable and enriching. On that particular morning, there was a slight delay from the museum in releasing the tickets, which resulted in entry approximately 10 minutes after the reserved time. We understand this may have been inconvenient and sincerely apologize. Unfortunately, this is something that can occasionally happen during peak periods due to the high demand at the Accademia Gallery.
