The Cave and the castle are very much worth it, both of them quite unique in their own right. Samir was an awesome guide, adding a lot of value to the whole experience. It's true that he wasn't our guide within those two, but he made sure to add value at every step of the way, providing a lot of great context and advice on a wide array of topics. I learned a lot about Slovenia with him and fully recommend him!
We enjoyed the tour with our guide Mat who knew a great deal about Ljubljana and Slovenia. The audio guide tour of the castle was very interesting and the caves were outstanding. Don't miss this tour!
This was a perfect day trip - good communication with the tour provider, everything on time, started after lunch so I could catch up on my sleep, small group, good driver/guide, scenic countryside, and only a one hour drive to two amazing sights. The first was a visit to Predjama Castle, a centuries old castle built into a large cave system. There are very few like it in the world and this is rated the best of the cave castles. The second attraction was the Postojna Cave, a gigantic natural wonder. The tour inside the cave system was about 90 minutes, about equally divided between train rides and walking. The cave system has vast areas of breathtaking beauty and size, and has been visited since the 19th century by dignitaries such as Emperor Franz Josef. Apart from the natural wonders, the technology used by the government for exhibiting as well as preserving is astonishing. I’m very glad I went on this tour!
Our tour guide “Nate” was excellent. He was a safe driver and provided good information about the tour as well as some historical perspective of Slovenia. The castle was interesting and the cave was huge and awe inspiring. At the end of the day Nate provided some local snack which was a nice treat. Overall a very good tour.

Visiting the castle was really cool and I'm so glad I got to see it, but the caves were honestly just incredible. Overall, this tour was absolutely worth it and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. What made it even better was that it was a group of solo travelers. Everyone in the group was really fun to hang out with. Our tour guide, George, was fantastic too. He gave us so much great information about Slovenia in general, answered all of our questions, and even gave us recommendations for dinner and places to check out afterward. He was just an all-around awesome guide, and I would happily book another tour with him anytime!

The castle built in the cave is rich in history and a cool experience if it is something you are interested in, it’s not necessarily a must do while in Slovenia and we enjoyed it from the outside. So we wouldn’t really pay to do inside again, the caves were amazing and definitely the highlight. The sheer size of them in unimaginable until you are in there, you get a great informative audio guide that took you through and taught you about not only the ecosystem but also how long they have been open to tourists. Would definitely recommend a visit if you are in Slovenia. Regarding David our driver and guide, we couldn’t rate him more highly. He was professional, funny and always ensured that we were comfortable and having a good time. He is very knowledgeable and we enjoyed hearing the background of Slovenia as well as history on the castle and the caves. We would definitely recommend booking a tour with this small family run business, 5 stars because you can’t give 6 😂
We had the most amazing tour experience with Samir .He was extremely informative about all aspects of Slovenia , culture , sports , industry , government . We had a beautiful tutorial and learned non stop . It was a continuous flow of information during the long car rides . The cave was a highlight of our trip in Slovenia , it should be one of the natural wonders of the world . You would be very lucky to have Samir as your driver and guide .
