Dan was waiting at the entrance so you couldn’t miss it. We were showered with so much foods and natural syrup which were so good with sparkling water! Made polenta and it was so tasty. Lastly we made papanasi and it was awesome! Tried many homemade local Romanian foods and this is really a good chance to learn about the hospitality and culture!
Pati and Dan are amazing. They are world travelers and it was pleasure sharing a piece of their world in their home in Bucharest. We had message them 7 hours before the scheduled cooking class telling them that our flight arrived late and would not be able to make it to the cooking class and that I am aware there is no refunds. They invited us the next day for the cooking class. Most tour operators would ignore this request but being the great people they are welcomed us to their home the following day. It was our first time being in a soviet block home after being on so many tours all over Eastern Europe. They are warm and inviting people and welcomed us with open arms and lots of snacks. Come hungry. From the time we walked in to the time we finished, it felt like being invited over for dinner by old friends. They will tell you stories of their travels around the world. They are modest people with a big heart. This was by far one of the best tour experiences we have ever had out 100+ tours we have taken. Masters of their craft and the food was delicious.

Dan and Patricia were amazing! We had a great time and they were so kind and gracious, providing great cooking instruction and stories about their life in Romania. I highly recommend this activity as it gives an inside view of Romaniams and their tasty food. Also, when they realized I still needed to make plans for the rest of my day, they'made arrangements for me to have a walking tour to learn about Romanian history during and after the fall of the Communist regime. My whole day with them was wonderful and the food, company and information was perfect!

We had a fun time doing this cooking class. We went just after Easter and the class started off with a traditional egg cracking. Both dishes we made were simple enough we will be doing them at home when we get back. The papanasi was so good and really easy to make.
