The overall experience was great. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and awesome with adult adults and kids alike. She knew a lot about Pompei and answered any and all questions. To the best of her abilities. Anna was the best ! She gave the best tour, was friendly and even in the intense heat did a fantastic job!

Pros: our guide was very knowledgeable and interesting. She was also mindful of the hot weather and made sure to find shade for the group when sharing information about Pompeii. Cons: the pick up location could be more clear. I saw 2 different addresses provided in the communication from the company. For those of you wondering, the pick up is on the sidewalk near the entrance to the Ramada hotel. Also, when the tour was over, our driver was nearly an hour late. It was pretty miserable waiting in the hot sun wondering if we were going to get back to Naples in time for our subsequent plans.

Seamless process from start to finish. No issues with transportation to and from the site. Our Pompeii guide Francesca( sorry if I spelled that wrong) was wonderful and made whole experience extremely enjoyable. My only suggestion is to include a Cruise port pick up and drop off option.

The pickup was a 45 minute walk from the cruise port or needed to pay an additional $20 USD. We walked. It was extremely hot and humid and the route was disgusting. Trash, decaying buildings and very sketchy neighborhood. The bus was hot and condensation was leaking from the overhead vents. Once we were there, however, our actual site guide, Angelo, was outstanding! He was very kind and conscientious of his group. He recommended many questions and had a very thorough knowledge of the ancient city. Then, when the tour ended, it got worse again. The tour ended and our shuttle back to the hotel was 45 minutes late. We were forced to stand in the hot sun along a crowded sidewalk because the adjoining restaurant was for paying customers only. They kept saying, just 5 more minutes. When I suggested as a good will gester for forcing us to stand and wait that they drop us off at the cruise port, she blatantly said No, the hotel only. Quite rude and no accommodation or even consideration. A fellow cruiser approached the bus driver and we paid him a few extra Euro to take us to the actual cruise port rather then walk or pay for a Uber. He gratefully obliged and we were so grateful. Sorry for the long review. Be aware before booking with this tour company.

The tour we had was with a company called Enjoy Pompeii, tour guide Angelo was fantastic had brilliant knowledge and showed us the best of The city of Pompeii, we can't thank him enough 👏. Transfer back to Naples after the tour not so good we had to wait an hour for our cach to arrive in the hot sun . In summary if you want a top experience of Pompeii go with Enjoy Pompeii and ask for Angelo

Really great exploration of Pompeii with our guide Frankie who took us around and made sure to keep us entertained and informed about the site. Transfers were very useful in getting to Pompeii.

Our guide (Francesca) was PHENOMENAL - she was knowledgeable, friendly, and hilarious. She checked in on every member of the group throughout the walking tour. I learned so much from her!! However transportation to and from Pompeii left a lot to be desired. Our shuttle back to Naples was over an hour late, leaving us standing in the hot Pompeii sun. Francesca and other staff had to call multiple times to find out where they were. The three hour trip turned into five hours, getting us back to Naples well after 2pm instead of the anticipated 12:30. Not great when you have a cruise ship to catch. So tour two thumbs way up - transport needs improvement. Make sure to give yourself a few extra hours if you’re coming from a cruise.

We left Naples with the transfer accompanied by Chiara and the driver Raffaele, who was very skilled at navigating the traffic of Naples!!! Chiara was a truly friendly guide; during the journey, she illustrated various topics and tidbits about Vesuvius and the Gulf of Naples!! Upon arriving in Pompeii, we were welcomed by the guide Carmen, a very experienced woman and a former archaeologist of the Pompeii site!!! She illustrated and guided us along the entire route, explaining in a simple, clear, and correct manner how life was at that time, along with curiosities and beauties!!! At the end of the tour, Chiara was waiting for us along with Raffaele to take us back to Naples!! They also gifted us a beautiful magnet from Pompeii!! Super recommended experience!!! For both small groups and families with children!!! Thank you very much for everything…!!

We enjoyed our day. It was (of course!) hot and busy at the site. Our guide did a great job navigating a group of 23 folks around the site. The hotel meeting point was easy to find from the metro and the van was air conditioned.

Frankie was very informative and fun. Made all of us laugh and had us in the shade which was much needed.
