The tour guide was superb. I learned a lot about St. Mark's and Doges Palace. The optional gondola ride was okay. Not a lot narrative during the ride but very relaxing. I didn't have to wait in line to get into either place due to the skip the line benefit.
Tour guide was very knowledgeable and throughly explained everything. Loved the history behind Venice, highly recommend it.
The tour was great. We had a long gap between the tour and the gondola ride. We would've preferred if the gondola ride was immediately after the tour. Also, the gondola ride is shared with other people.
Good tour got to see the Basillica and Doges Palace and a gondola ride, great info given about the places, much better than doing it alone. Ear piece to hear guide isn’t the best - it sort of has to balance over your ear and everyone had it fall off more than once plus it hurts your ear. Be warned women cannot go into the Basillica with their knees or shoulders showing and you must show ID. Keep the tickets you are given at the shop to hand. Lots of walking and steps.
Directions are not clear. But once we figured out, everything went well. Extremely hot in Venice in June.
The actual guide for the Palace & Basilica was good HOWEVER We were not TOLD by VIATOR information that we would not be allowed into the Basilica if my knees & shoulders were not covered! I would have worn appropriate clothing if you had given this information beforehand. As it was I had to pay 17 euros for two scarves !! One to wrap around my waist and the other to go around my shoulders- the lady in Venice Tours was astonished when I showed her the notes we received from VIATOR that it did not state about dress code . The tickets were expensive in the first instance, I did not expect to pay this additional money. I have the receipt and I am hoping to be re-imbursed by VIATOR

Valentina was amazing. She showed her love of Venice through her stories. This was my favorite tour yet.
A lot of stairs in a very touristy area. 50 Euros for 1 drink. I skipped a third of the tour due to stairs. The wind was high so the Grand Canal was a no go for the gondola ride, my grandson is quite tall, the gondola operator had us sitting across from each other in a very awkward position to sit. It was so-so.
The tour was wonderful! The gondola ride was a bit cramped! Tall people should sit in the 2 person seat facing forward. Instead we were crammed into the chairs with my knee intruding into someone else’s space!!!!!!
