Although the stops were efficient and timely our guide had talked non stop since 7:30 am. It is now 2pm, had lunch and told us we should nap for one hour in our way to Nara but no, the incessant yammering is overwhelming. I know he’s trying but for one thing it is very difficult to understand him and after each sentence he says ok, yes. I appreciate his enthusiasm but his attempt at history lessons, the microphone, is annoying.
If you are short in time like us and not living in Kyoto, the day trip from Osaka is very good. The guide Jewel-san was amazing and we covered major attractions. But I would recommend staying in Kyoto, as it has lot to offer.
Great trip and friendly guides, especially Momo. Lots covered in one day so great for an intro / overview of Kyoto which was excellent as I only had one day. It’s about one hour per stop which is required to fit everything in - if you need more time then it might be worth selecting another tour but for me this was great. Thank you!
It is an amazing temple, of what I liked most about Osaka-Nara. The outside is full of deer that approach you and let you touch, you can buy cookies that sell there to feed them. The temple inside is very big, it has an immense buddha sitting. In general everything is very careful.
Overall a good experience, the sights were beautiful and the guide to and from Osaka was wonderful! She gave me insights on the areas between Kyoto Nara and Osaka and even some tidbits on the history and culture. The guides at the sites really didn't give more information than was on the signs, but with no time to read any of them. I wish I could rate them separately and there was more time at each site.
Great overview of famous historical sites. KC tour guide was fantastic. He did awesome job keeping group moving and showing us around. Good if only have short time in Japan
Tour was informational, only slight drawback was too much traveling in the time allotted. The guides, organization was terrific so personal and informative.
This has to be one of the fastest tours to be part of- great if you want to see many things in a short time but it's SO expensive for what it is. There's no reason for it to cost so much more than the others on offer. For starters you have to literally take a public train with everybody else, which you could've booked yourself rather than pay them a premium to do so. There is basically no chance of a seat and you are standing the whole time. You get around 45min per attraction, no water provided considering it is a whole day trip and because the groups are so large, if anybody is running late you get pushed along even faster through the rest of it. The people running it are nice- apart from that you can basically organise this yourself and do it cheaper/at your own leisure. Lunch is pretty awful too. This is far too overpriced a tour.
