We were really looking forward to this tour on our last day in Sarajevo and unfortunately it was a waste of time and money. Each person paid 45 euros including entry. The main point of the tour was a replica tunnel. We were only told this when we arrived and someone saw a sign and asked if we were seeing the original tunnel. This should be communicated in advance. The replica tunnel was about 25 metres, in the information it says you are going to walk through 100m of the tunnel, and shows photos of the original. While the guide spoke about some points on the way, she didn't speak about any of the points advertised on the tour -the presidential building, TV tower, market. We were supposed to stop at the Jewish cemetery, and this didn't happen. The guide told the driver when he asked, that we wouldn't as it was a Saturday but at no point communicated this to the group. I understand the modifications are often made due to traffic etc but not to speak about ANY of the points in the tour info was very disappointing. The guide was in a rush to finish the whole time and made it clear she wanted to go home. I don't feel she bothered to connect to the group but just go from A to B and get the job done and go home. On the ride back, she said absolutely nothing to the group as her job was finished. The time of the tour was 2 hours 30 (late starting, early finishing), 30 mins were spent watching a video. We got an 'extra' story about the Archduke at the end but I would have preferred her to tell us something listed in the tour info - not the most famous story of Sarajevo that everyone has already heard on their walking tours etc. Of course itineraries can change and works in the tunnel are unavoidable but this is not communicated clearly to the people paying money for a tour. It wasn't communicated that we wouldn't see the original tunnel or that we wouldn't see the cemetery by the guide (or anything in the tour information list) - these are the major issues here.

It’s a great tour, although it can be sad at the same time. If it’s possible ask for Lada as your guide. She tells you what really happened and she experienced herself. She explains everything so clearly, patiently. She’s really awesome and so is the tour

The siege during the Bosnian War is a dark story like all wars. The tunnel was a lifeline for people to survive and the museum gives a convincing picture of how awful it can be. The guide gave good insight into Tito's Yugoslavia, the siege 1992-1995, and the new state formation of BiH. Through his personal memories and experiences that he told neutrally, the audience became emotionally touched. Can really be recommended, if not just to get there by bus and not try to get around in the difficult traffic in Sarajevo yourself.

A very intense tour, both emotionally and culturally. The guide, Sofia, gave us a lot of information and answered all our questions with patience and expertise. Important note: we had booked this tour with Get Your Guide, but the appointment was canceled at the last minute for a reason that was not very understandable. The guys at Insider made up for it by booking the tour in Italian for the next day, just for us and with a fantastic guide, who will remain in our hearts for the passion with which she accompanied us through her city.

We were lucky to have Lada as a guide who conveyed to us through her stories and her knowledge the importance of this tunnel and how they lived during the war.

Would not recommend to others. Don't miss the fine print that the tunnel.ticket is not I cluded in the price, so this is basically a really expensive taxi to the tunnel and back. We watched a short movie at the office for context about the siege. Got on the bus, 45 minutes there (45 minutes back), the guide did provide commentary. Initially this was ok interest but I zoned out when he started talking about people who played for the Bosnian football team and the recent world cup. At the tunnel itself, you watch about video, no commentary, the walk through about 100m of tunnel recreated for tourists. Then you leave. It was underwhelming. Would have been better to go to one of the museums instead. If we had known we'd have visited the tunnel with our own car and got just as much out of it for $80 less.

This tour was given to us by a real local who experienced the war himself and even helped in the tunnel. That makes his stories incredibly personal and impressive. He takes you in a van to various places and tells you what it was like to live during the war. The way he describes how people lived like "rats in a trap" every day and was a roulette every day and how shelling seemed almost like a game to the others makes a deep impression. This is without a doubt the most impressive tour I have ever done. The stories, emotions and personal experiences of our guide make this tour unforgettable. He'll be with me for a long time. If you are visiting Sarajevo, this is an absolute must as far as I am concerned.

I’m so glad I went on this tour, it was an invaluable experience and a privilege to learn so much from a local who lived through these events firsthand. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sarajevo, as it’s something I’ll never forget. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and more than happy to answer all of our questions, making the experience even more meaningful.
