we went to penang, Malaysia on Jan 21,2026. We had a wonderful driver Lee who was very informative and kind. He took us around the island . James was wonderful. He took us places where he thought we would enjoy. He patiently waited for us and made sure we were happy with our choices of places to go. He took us to a small local town for seafood. His favorite place was closed, but he found another very good restaurant for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our day with James and would highly recommend him.

James was really accommodating - we had to change our plans and he just went with the flow. We had a very relaxed half a day seeing the island, stopping where we were interested in something and ignoring the standard tourist bits we were not keen on. He is very easy company. We highly recommend 👍

We really enjoyed our time with James visiting Penang. I asked to go to the tropical spice garden, we also saw the Sleeping Buddha temple, Art street and the Clan Jetties as well as a lovely lunch at a local restaurant introducing us to the local iced white coffee that was delicious, being older travellers we struggled a bit in the heat James recognised this going to retrieve the car while we waited in the shade.We found James friendly well presented and his vehicle clean and comfortable. The best part of this trip was a visit to a local fishing village in Balik Pulau where we ate in the local restaurant which was next to where all the local fish was sold. This was an amazing experience and the food was absolutely delicious. When booking the tour I asked James for it to be non-touristy and this is what he delivered. A very enjoyable half day trip.

Enjoyed the sights of Georgetown with a great host in James. Our tour was totally tailored for us. Friendly, informative and a great driver.

James is an excellent tour guide. He brought us to all of the places we requested and was very patient with my two children age 12 and 8. When we mentioned we were hungry he took us to a great food hawker market and helped us pick out an array of tasty local favorites to try. Highly recommend.

We used Morgan Uyapan +60 17-403 1294 For pick up from Airport and Transfers. We used him for day tours as well try him. Great guy. Reasonable cost and ready to show you around.

We really enjoyed our time with James! He was very patient, accommodating, and courteous. We chose to go to the northwest side of the island to see the fruit farm and Batu Ferringhi. Our intention was also to go to the spice garden and butterfly farm, of which we did quick drive-bys and found to not be worth it. James was totally cool with us checking them out and then deciding against. We therefore had some more time, and went to the Air Itam region, where we visited Kek Lok Si Temple. After walking around a bit, it started to get late, and we began to worry that we were taking too much of James' time. But his interest was only in us enjoying ourselves, and he was still willing to do whatever we wanted! We then decided to get something to eat, and mentioned that we wanted to try some good nasi lemak. James got very excited at this, and took us to the Curry Mee Reservoir Hawker Center. He helped us find the vendor, and find other dishes like prawn noodles and nasi kandar. All were spectacular! I loved the fried chicken that came with the nasi kandar, which was of the most memorable foods of our entire trip. Afterwards we tried to go to the cool Cendol cart (not the famous one you've been hearing about), but just missed them. James dropped us off at the hotel, and showed us a way to get a Grab delivery from another good place that was still open. Hiring a driver like James is the best and most affordable way to cover a good part of the island. We would otherwise have paid per person, and with three of us, that would not have been economical, nor would we have the flexibility or personal attention. While James is not a tour guide, it was nice to have one on one conversations with him, and understand what it's like to live in Penang and the country of Malaysia.

James was more than accommodating for a non standard tour. Took us around the island and also to some non-touristy places. James was a great driver and host. We were specifically looking for future living locations and James was knowledgable and gave us good information on the areas we looked at.
