Paul was a knowledgeable and entertaining guide. The wineries we visited were lovely. There was the right balance of food and wine available. Highly recommend.

Our tour guide was excellent. However, the last winery felt more like a restaurant. We did not get to tour any fields of grapes or the mechanisms of the winery. Plus we booked a tour that was supposed to last from 11:00 a.m. till 6:00 p.m. and what we got was a poor from 11:00 till 2:00. It left a lot to be desired. I would not use this particular company again.

Our San Diego Winery Tour has been carefully refined over many years and has welcomed thousands of happy guests since 2010. The current format is designed to maximize time at the wineries with less time spent in transit, while still including the same generous wine tastings, vineyard views, a full lunch on the vineyard grounds and a fully guided behind-the-scenes tour of the winemaking process. Both wineries we visited offer vineyard access and opportunities to walk the grounds. The tour operates as an optimized experience, allowing guests to enjoy a relaxed pace, and still have free time after the tour to explore San Diego. We understand this may have felt different from what you expected. We’re sorry the experience did not fully meet your expectations. We appreciate you joining us and wish you the best in your future travels.
We had such a great day with Paul Anthony! One of our group members wasn't feeling well, and they were so responsive and flexible to help acomodate us. The wine flights were delicious and we learned a lot - both wineries we visited were so beautiful. Highly recommend!

This was an awesome excursion. I thought I was a sweet wine drinker but I followed our chauffeur's suggestions and he never disappointed. The wine, food and company was so good along with Paul Anthony's interesting facts along the way. I highly recommend this!!!

There were very few details available on the itinerary ( how many wineries, how far away) that would have been helpful to know. I didn't expect the driver to talk the whole time. The word chauffeur implies a driver not a tour guide. I would have rather had the time to visit with my friends. The information was really geared towards wine novices and not experienced wine lovers. Information was very remedial rather that actual information about the grape varieties and wine style. I enjoyed the wine at the first vineyard Bernardo but the place was very touristy. The second place has excellent views but the wine was so-so. There was plenty of food but no choice in what you get unless you specify up front with dietary restrictions. The pizza had lots of pork products on it, some of which don't agree with me. I thought we would get to pick toppings but that was not the case. The guide was very friendly but it just wasn't what I thought I signed up for.

While some guests prefer a quieter, purely social outing, many appreciate the added context and storytelling provided along the way. We appreciate your comments regarding the depth of wine information. Our aim is to create an experience that feels welcoming and engaging for a broad range of guests, while still offering moments of discovery. For those seeking a more technical tasting experience, your guide is always happy to accommodate. We love that our wineries provide pizzas that are custom made to each guest’s preference, from gluten free to vegetarian to meat lovers. And, our guide is always happy to take even last-minute requests. Our goal is to please! Me & Hubby booked this experience for our wedding anniversary. Paul Anthony was the best! I don’t think the experience is worth $570 (for two, including tip) but Paul Anthony made the experience SO fun & we overall had a great time.
