This was a great afternoon activity. We spent about 3 hours exploring. It was great to have a combination of self-exploration and guided tour sections.

The amazing history of the USS Midway, the sacrifices made by the 200,000 plus seamen who served on board, the complexities of operations.. every civilian needs to taje this tour to appreciate what pir Navy does .

In San Diego, the decommissioned aircraft carrier USS Midway is anchored as a museum. The visit is a very interesting experience, even for people who are not that interested in military technology. The scale and equipment are worth seeing; you have access to many areas, even the bridge and flight deck control. The admission price of 39 dollars per person is typically steep for the US, but compared to SeaWorld it is almost cheap, and you get your money's worth. Very entertaining.

Be prepared to walk a lot. You should be aware it is going to take you about 4 to 5 hours to see the whole thing. It was so breath taking how this whole city works. It was so amazing the size of this aircraft.

We were there for the second time. The atmosphere is unique and you can spend hours below or on the deck and get information about the ship and the aircraft. Volunteers can be found everywhere who are extremely friendly and helpful and are very happy to take the time to explain things. The tour in the command center is absolutely recommended. We also found what we were looking for in the shop below deck and took home some great souvenirs. For me, an absolute must-visit when you are in San Diego. Our son, 5 years old, enjoyed it thoroughly and had a lot of fun during the visit, just like we did.

Amazing experience, seeing the aircraft of different generations. Very poignant watching battle of midway film, and enjoyed looking at different areas below deck to show what life was like. Radio explanations for each area was really helpful and the trip to the bridge well worth it. The docents were incredibly knowledgeable-thoroughly enjoyed the trip. We were there for 4.5 hours and didn't see everything. If we weren't leaving the next morning we would have gone back.

Great experience to be on a massive ship. Audio about the various displays was very informative. Tours through the ship a must. Great day
