The day trip around Shanghai was really good , the gardens and temple were lovely, the water town with tea ceremony and lunch were awesome. It’s a pity that we struck it on parade day as I had to leave as the crowds made getting away subject to being very late. Sorry I missed the Bund. Overall a very worthwhile day out for a reasonable price.

Audrey is a delightful guide, however, she spoke far too quickly and for most part impossible to understand. However, the sights were lovely and she is kind and supportive. I had a nightmare as when I booked this it was advertised as a 7 hour trip, very doable with a 15 hour transit. However, transpired the provider advert was incorrect, its a 9 hour trip and has since been corrected. I left the trip early and had to get a 1.5 hour Didi ride to the airport. They offered a 100CNY refund. Nowhere near the cost of the Didi. A very expensive and stressful day out.

The tour was well-organized and the tour guide was professional. The group was a good size. It was a good mix of a guided tour and (some) time for independent exploration. The food was okay; there was something for everyone. For vegetarians (who otherwise have a hard time in China), there was tofu and vegetables with rice. The tea tasting mentioned in a previous review was voluntary, but it came at a good time when we were all happy to have a short break. I found it interesting. It was said very nicely several times that it is completely okay if we do not buy anything; I did not feel pressured at all and am glad that we were there. I personally could have done without the souvenir bazaar, but that was only brief and I could have withdrawn from there as well. So everything is okay. What you should be aware of is that it is quite crowded everywhere in the summer during peak travel season. Especially in the Yu Garden, this affected our experience, but the tour operator cannot be blamed for that. We were there on a Saturday; the tour guide mentioned that it is less crowded during the week.

Audrey was awesome. Thank gawd for Audrey’s flag, it was super hot so we were definitely lacking behind but could see her a mile away 🤣 Had a great day exploring all the sites and learning about what’s what. The shared lunch at the water town was excellent. Found the greatest little bar at the water town, head over the ancient bridge to the newer kind of shops to the left of the markets. Head down the path and they are on the right. Drinks were cold, they were the only business with a toilet and the staff were brilliant. Thank you!

It was very hot day and raining as well. Lunch was average. Very crowded and spent too long in the tea shop. Over all was okay 👍

5/5 maximum recommend. Few tips for others, this is a physically arduous tour and some seemed unprepared. It was likely upwards of 25k steps. Anytime in the summer it will be very hot and you will be outside almost all day. This isn't appropriate for kids under 7 or so, and is not stroller or handicap accessible. Several parents on my tour found out the hard way. That said, this is an amazing day, absolutely unforgettable. And oh, I got a tad lost in the water town, signage isn't great, and remember GPS maps in China are all off by 50-100m. Do this.

Our guide, Audrey, was exceptional! She shared her knowledge of the sites and the city in a fun, but professional manner. It was a delight to spend the day with her.

We had a great time visiting Yu Garden and Zhujiajiao. So much history and beautiful scenery. Our guide Audrey was very knowledgeable and took good care of our small group.

It was a wonderful tour. Our guide was also very good. I recommend it.

Excellent experience; it showed us places that we would not have known or understood what lies behind them as mere tourists.
