In the periods of July and August, in addition to the heat, there are very long lines for the many police checks before entry, due to the holiday period for the Chinese as well. It took us two hours before we managed to get in.

Wonderful visity to the Forbidden City / Tiananmen Square
Booking the ticket to the Tiananmen Square / Forbidden City was very easy. The access to the site is crowded but we were given the right directions to the entrance so that we could make the most of our time.

Good activity provider!
Our visit to Tiananmen Square went really smoothly. TravelChinaGuide provided us with a separate confirmation document that was clear and very helpful. I should mention that booking tickets independently via WeChat is actually quite difficult, so paying a small fee to secure the reservation was well worth it.

Just massively impressive
Just massively impressive! You need an extra day if you really want to see each and every corner. Tip from the guide: if possible don’t bring a bag, handbag or backpack and put your stuff in your pockets instead. It saves a lot of queuing time at the security check.
