We arranged for a transfer from Rome to our hotel in Sorrento. With the travel distance between cities we were able to work into our schedule the wine tasting and light lunch at the winery as well as a guided tour of Pompeii. The trip couldn't have worked out any better. The limo operators were terrific and allow us to spend as much time as needed at both locations. The folks at the winery were all very pleasant and the food and wine were outstanding. Our tour guide at Pompeii was extremely knowledgeable and very pleasant as well. I wouldn't recommend anyone visit the ruins of Pompeii without a guide. We used Joe Banana for mostly all of our tours in Italy and should have used them for all. Highly recommend Joe Banana!!!!

Bucket list day at Pompeii with amazing winery too!
What an incredible day! Our private guided tour of Pompeii followed by a winery visit with lunch was truly the highlight of our cruise. The winery was spectacular, with a beautiful rooftop terrace overlooking the vineyards and an unforgettable lunch featuring fresh homemade spaghetti with tomato sauce. Our guide through Pompeii was outstanding—knowledgeable, engaging, and brought the ancient city to life. This was a fabulous bucket-list experience from start to finish. We couldn’t have asked for a better day and highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Naples!

Always a 5 star experience
Always a 5 star experience with Joe Banana. We first used the 20 years ago touring the Amalfi coast. Our guide then Paolo was beyond amazing. Great sense of humor a friendly. We quickly realized traveling with JB is like having a family member show you around.
Fast forward to 2026 and I'm celebrating my 60th birthday. Our group of 10 put together a complex trip involving 3 transfers and multiple tours. I worked with Nunzia throughout the experience. She spoke with me via phone, texted, WhatsApp to make sure all was well. She is a ROCKSTAR! She made certain that my birthday trip wss incredible. Thank you for the lovely limoncello birthday gift!!
Our tour in Amalfi included a pickup in Salerno. We visited Herculaneum and Pompeii. Our driver Danilo was amazing. He sang happy birthday to me upon meeting me. We had extra time. So, he suggested we have lunch at a mountain top winery overlooking Mount Vesvius. I was greeted by the staff singing happy birthday to me. Lunch and wine were incredible.
We have used Joe Banana at least a half dozen times over the years. They were always prompt (in fact, always EARLY) , friendly, knowledgeable and speak excellent English. They are the only group I will use in Italy.

Book this tour!
I decided to book this tour for my group of 8 people total. Anna helped me book and arrange everything in advance. She was very nice and pleasant to deal with. Even though the Mt Vesuvius tickets are no longer included, I told her we wanted to go and she explained to me how to get the tix and included it as a stop in our itinerary.
Our tour guide, Catello (Watermelon) was simply amazing!!! He picked us up on time and spent the 1.5 hour drive to Vesuvius making our group laugh! When we were falling behind on our schedule Catello called the winery and Pompeii for us to reschedule our tour times! We appreciated all his hard work. He honestly made our trip go from nice to wonderful. Definitely book this trip and ask for Catello. It was worth the price.

Guided trip to Pompeii and Wine Tasting a highlight of our visit to the Amalfi Coast
Great trip and well worth the $. Our Pompeii guide Pablo, well spoken and fluent in English, was incredibly well informed, had a great sense of humor and gave us a wonderful tour full of subtle insights and interesting observations about everyday life in Pompeii before the eruption. Our driver Roberto, a native of Sorrento and also fluent in English, gave us in depth information about Sorrento, the Sorrento peninsula and Naples, the sort of information that only a native usually has. The wine tasting event was excellent, food was amazing and the views from the winery are spectacular.

Five star service with Ferdinando
Joe banana is amazing! So professional with a beautiful fleet of vehicles and the best staff. We did the Pompeii and winery tour as well as the 50 shades of lemons tour and both were just flawless!!! Ferdi, our driver, was kind, funny and so amenable to every ask - we were so sad to say goodbye to him and genuinely felt like friends by the end of our time together. It is so obvious how much he cares about his job and his clients. Anna, who organized the excursions for us, was also so kind and helpful - available pretty much 24/7. Lastly our Pompeii tour guide, Andrew was the best. Period. As a history lover, I was blown away at the care and effort he put into the tour to show us the lesser known and far less crowded but far more interesting parts of Pompeii. Thank you to everyone at Joe banana!!

Best Transfer Service Ever!!
We used JoeBanana for the above tour which included private transfer from Naples Train station to Praiano and our return trip to the train station. Both drivers (Roberto and Ferdinando) were very kind, friendly and accommodating. The vans were luxury Mercedes and very clean and comfortable! I highly recommend JoeBanana! Nunzia was amazing and always quick to respond to me when I had questions - she is very sweet and kind ! Thank you for everything! ❤️
