We had an amazing time on our tour! Chiro was amazing and so was our tour guide at Pompeii. We loved every single minute!!!! Will recommend to family and friends !!

My husband and I booked Rosato Private Tours for a personal tour from Sorrento to Pompeii and Herculaneum. We were fortunate to have Vittorio, the owner of the company, as our driver. He arrived promptly at our hotel. He was professional and very friendly, and his vehicle was spotless! Due to my vertigo and car sickness, Vittorio was able to accommodate us and change up the original itinerary, which had included a trip up Mount Vesuvius. Instead, he suggested we visit Pompeii and then Herculaneum. Following the visits to the archaeological sites, he drove us to a wine tasting and lunch at a very nice small family-owned vineyard where everything they served was grown at the vineyard. He also suggested we get an English-speaking tour guide for our trip to Pompeii, which he arranged for us in advance. In addition, he provided us with the correct links to purchase our tickets online in advance for both sites. It was a wonderful stress-free day. After we finished lunch, Vittorio drove us to get gelato, which was delicious! Before returning to our hotel, I shared with Vittorio that I was looking for someone to translate two very old letters I had of my Italian grandfather's that were sent to him in the US from his parents back in Italy in 1914 and 1916. Vittorio went over and above his job and offered to translate them for me. Within a couple of days of sending him the letters, I received a very detailed email with the translations. This gesture meant the world to me that he would take the time out of his busy life so that I could experience a piece of my family's history from so long ago. Grazie per la tua gentilezza! The whole day and our overall experience working with Vittorio was one we will never forget. Our only regret was that we didn't get a picture of us with Vittorio!!

We truly enjoyed our time in Sorrento which would not have been possible without the help and knowledge of Rosato private tour! Vittorio was so easy to work with and always answered promptly with all my questions. From the driver Gianluca transfer from the airport, Ciro our driver to Pompeii, Louisa the absolutely best translator you want to have to the winery they recommended! They made everything easy! It cost a lot of money for what you got. Did not include admission to Pompeii. Did not include guide in Pompeii. Did not include admission to Vesuvius and was not told you had to buy tickets in advance to see Vesuvius and none were available so we were not able to go there. Guide was very pushy about canceling plans with other tour operators and using him instead. The other tour operator that I ended up using to go to the Amalfi coast was almost half the price and a much better guide. That being said, a trip to Pompeii is definitely worth it and they were able to get us an excellent private guide for an additional €150in addition to the admission price for Pompeii.

Vittorio was so responsive with any and all communication I initiated. He also organized an excellent private tour guide at Pompeii. Our driver was waiting for us at the hotel and took us to Pompeii, waited for us and drove us to Rome while explaining a lot about Italian history and culture. He was very informative and kind. Rosato was recommended by a good friend of mine. I am very glad I listened to her. I highly recommend Rosato Private Tour.

Great trip to Pompeii. Our driver, Lello, was great and told us a lot of history about the area on the ride there. Rosato arranged our private 2 hr guide of Pompeii which was well worth it for the information and streamlined tour. Luisa was terrific! She clearly knew her stuff. We did not do the winery but opted for a stop for Neopolitan pizza in the area. Lello brought us to a great local restaurant that was very reasonably priced and had very good pizza!

We were picked up promptly by Lello at our hotel in Rome for the drive to Positano. On the way we stopped to do a tour of Pompeii while Lello waited for us with our luggage. Our tour guide Francesca was quite engaging and very knowledgeable. We all loved her and learned so much! Lello then picked us up and maneuvered us through the windy road to Positano. We also learned quite a bit from Lello about the surrounding countryside. All in all this was a great way to get from one point to another with a stop in Pompeii along the way. We usually rent a car on vacation but I cannot imagine doing this drive. This was definitely the way to go!!

A great day trip - would highly recommend this tour company. Massimo our driver was really welcoming and friendly, and great with our kids. We e were given plenty of time to climb Vesuvius and then had our private tour of pompeii before a well-deserved lunch at a beautiful winery! We also did the one day amalfi coast tour with the same driver a few days later and that was great too! Definitely recommend booking a tour with this company!

We had an excellent day on our Vesuvius/Pompeii tour! Tina and Vittorio were very helpful in helping us plan the day. Our driver Ciro was very kind and professional, and picked us up perfectly on time. We were picked up at our hotel in Sorrento, and first went to Vesuvius where we climbed to the top and enjoyed the views. Next we went to Pompeii and were greeted by our private tour guide, Carolina, who was very kind and knowledgable. We really enjoyed her commentary and we all felt like we learned a lot! After our ~2 hour tour, we went to a winery on the foothills of Vesuvius for a tour, tasting and lunch. The whole day was a lot of fun and perfectly scheduled. We would highly recommend!
