Just successfully accomplished Mt Everest Base Camp, KalaPather & Annapurna Circuit Trek🇳🇵 My journey to Nepal is a leap of faith. Imagine standing thousands of miles away in Kenya, dreaming of Himalayas yet not knowing a single soul nor a trekking company in Nepal. With a world of technology, I asked for AI help, recommended 3 companies & after my research chose their number one recommendation:Bold Himalaya. With nerves, I WhatsApp CEO Mr Sobit whose response was swift with a warm message laying out itinerary, transparent cost & a massive dose of confidence. Within 2 weeks, I set my boots in Nepal. When I landed in Kathmandu, seeing my name held high on a welcoming sign was an unforgettable and proud moment, I acted casual yet internally screaming-CertifiedVIP. Thanks CEO, Mr Sobit. That morning as we drove to the hotel, disaster struck. The unfortunate floods hit Nepal, affecting / destroying the main road to the starting of my Annapurna Circuit. I was devastated. However, this is where, Bold Himalaya proved why they're the best. Mr Sobit pivoted. Instantly, he contacted Summit airlines & booked me on a flight to Lukla for the next day to start my EBC trek. A nightmare journey turned into the most thrilling, scenic mountain flight of my life. Mt Everest region was everything I dreamed of, blending raw natural beauty, Sherpas' hospitality, the rich Himalayan culture and emotional sense of personal achievement. Bold Himalaya staff (guide-Palden, porter-Amber) were incredible, ensuring successful trails, delicious balanced meals and comfortable accomodations in the tea houses. We shared stories, sang, danced, learned few words & captured memories. Then I stood tall beneath the shadows of world's highest peak in the world Mt Everest; EBC and it was a personal defining moment. Hooray 🎉.The next morning KalaPather was superb at 5545m & I felt so small/ little yet inside saying Kudos girl, U made it. Then awesome descend & transfer to Kathmandu. Rested for a day coz my mind, mountain lungs 🤣 were yearning for more dense air and still with Bold Himalaya, I embarked on my round two trek: Thorong La Pass via Annapurna Circuit. Had yet another incredible diversity landscapes with a very supportive staff (guide- Srijan). Successfully became an official member of 5416m club. Memories to hold dearly. As a Kenyan girl who came to Nepal alone, I'm leave feeling like family, with successful stress-free & truly epic trekking journey courtesy of Bold Himalaya. My husband and I went trekking to Everest Base Camp. We couldn’t conquer our dreams without our amazing guide Surendra and porter Uncle Doma Ghale. These two kept us safe all the time, being so determined and dedicated to finish our dream. From Lukla, we had torrential rains up to Namche Bazaar. My husband lost his footing on our way down from Everest hotel and bruised his ribs and sprained shoulder. Our guide always at his side to make sure he’s safe. On the way to Dengbochi we got hit with snow storm. By the time we reached Lobouche I’ve started to develop a bad sore throat with freezing -22 degrees temperature. But we soldier on and managed to reach our goal. Our guide Surendra has an extensive knowledge of the mountains and explained every details. Sobit was always available if needed. Thank you to Bold Himalaya for everything.

It was such a wonderful experience. Going to Everest Base Camp and seeing all the amazing mountains of the Himalayas, I was blessed with the weather and had lifelong memories. Sobit-san was able to respond to my email-based inquiries beforehand, and he was also able to help me with what I needed and what I needed on the preliminary day. On the day of my arrival in Nepal, he picked me up at the airport and set up a strategy meeting at the hotel and gave me advice on setting an upland adjustment date. I was worried about trekking at high altitudes, but the care and service of my tour guide Sirjan was very thorough and I was able to complete my schedule.

Wow! I could not praise this experience enough and would recommend it to anyone! Sobit, the manager, was incredibly attentive from my very first email inquisition about the experience. His care and attention to detail are obvious. He was quick to respond to emails, and truly catered the experience to fit my travel needs. Once I arrived in Nepal, everything was taken care of. So it himself picked me up from the airport, welcomed me, and brought me to Hotel Thrive (which was very nice and relaxing). He even brought me to his favorite local restaurant on a whim when he learned that I wanted to try momo. The flight to Lukla was quick and Hassel free. I was met in Lukla by my guide, Palden. Palden was incredibly friendly yet professional, and so informative. It was obvious that he had done the trek many times before, as he set a steady pace that met my fitness level and needs. Each night, we stopped at a tea house in a small village along with the route. All of the stays had phenomenal views of the surrounding mountains, attentive staff, and reliable meals. As for the trek itself-- it was truly a once in a lifetime, indescribable experience. Day after day, we hiked through stunning scenery (breathtaking overlooks, quaint villages, beautiful monistaries, and of course, the majestic mountains everywhere). I came on the hike to see Everest, and I got to see it from many viewpoints along the route-- even from base camp and at the absolutely stunning viewpoint of Kala Patthar at sunset, an experience I will never forget. But I was also struck by how many other mountains besides Everest I learned to know (thanks to Palden!) and love. The helicopter ride back was a crazy cool experience, literally flying through the valley we had walked the week before. The experience ended with another smooth pickup by Sobit, and an enriching meal and cultural show as we reflected on the experience, learned more about one another's background, and cheersed to an unforgettable trip. Seriously, I have been fortunate to do a lot of traveling, and this company was the most professional, caring, and client-oriented I have ever experienced. I'm exhausted after the trek, but in the very best way-- the memories I made this week will last a lifetime. I give this trip my highest recommendation
