My 8/9-day Everest Base Camp trek with helicopter return was truly a magical and unforgettable experience. From start to finish, the views were absolutely mesmerizing and something no photo can fully capture. Every single day felt like a reward, with breathtaking scenery surrounding us throughout the journey. A special mention to our host and guide, Maddy (@mountainmate.maddy), who was simply fantastic throughout the trip. He made sure every member of the group felt included, supported, and cared for. Nobody was ever left behind or made to feel like they were slowing the group down, which was especially important for me as this was my very first high-altitude trek. Coming from sea level, the altitude was honestly one of the toughest parts of the journey. Once we passed around 3,800m, every step became more challenging and breathing was noticeably harder. However, the team managed the pace extremely well, moving slowly, taking regular breaks, and making sure everyone could cope safely with the conditions. The accommodation at the tea houses was the best possible available at each location. Naturally, facilities become more basic the higher you go, but that is completely understandable considering how remote these mountain villages are and how difficult it is to transport supplies there. Rather than seeing it as a negative, it became part of the experience and gave me a deeper appreciation for life in the Himalayas. What impacted me most was seeing how people survive and live in these mountains every day. It was incredibly humbling and truly an eye-opening experience that makes you appreciate many things you normally take for granted. The helicopter return was the perfect ending to the trek and gave us one final spectacular perspective of the mountains. This trip challenged me physically and mentally, but it was absolutely worth every moment. I genuinely hope to encourage my kids to experience this amazing journey one day as well. Highly recommended for anyone considering Everest Base Camp, especially first-time trekkers looking for a safe, supportive, and memorable experience.
Very well organised and taken care by the guides and porters. Able to provide last min assistance for urgent requests. Will definitely be back again.
We recently completed the Everest Base Camp Trek. We decided to arrange a small group EBC Trek, and we are glad we chose ACE the Himalaya. Sujan, the General Manager, was very responsive to our numerous queries, and this gave us a sense that we would be in good hands. Our, Guide, Mr Laxman, was very helpful. He has a friendly demeanor, and it was very easy to get along with him. He ensured we were looked after and taken care of in the guesthouses. Laxman is well versed and knowledgeable of all the mountains along our route. He made everything effortless and smooth. His English was excellent, and he was incredibly knowledgeable. Throughout the journey, he made the experience even more meaningful by sharing fascinating insights about the mountains, local culture, and the history of the region. After a hard day of trekking, and our spirits were low, it was our Guide, Laxman who encouraged us and assured us that we could make it. It gave us the determination to carry on. He reminded us that each day we were getting closer to our goal of reaching Everest Base Camp. Laxman is a very experienced guide. He knew our walking pace and was able to quite accurately inform us how long we would take to reach our destination each day. He was always ensuring that our safety was well taken care of and demonstrated concern for our well-being at high altitudes. Laxman ensured that we had a memorable experience. We also got to know our porters, Navendra and Ocean. They were incredible - strong, kind, positive and always supportive. We are so grateful for their hard work and they also provided a secondary safety lookout for us. The company itself is very well structured and organized. I highly recommend ACE and the team
Matt and I completed the Everest Base Camp Trek in March with Ace the Himalaya, and it truly was the trip of a lifetime. From the moment we arrived in Kathmandu, Nepal, Ace made us feel welcomed and cared for. Their team greeted us at the airport with such warmth and professionalism, and they remained by our side through every step of the journey — from our arrival to our departure home. The experience began with a detailed pre-trip meeting at their headquarters and ended with a thoughtful follow-up, certificate of completion ceremony, and celebratory dinner. Every person we interacted with — the office staff, our incredible guide Ramhari Neumane, and our porter Bhupal — was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making our trek unforgettable. The scenery along the trek to Everest Base Camp became more breathtaking each day, but the highlight was our final evening at Kalapathar. Watching the sunset illuminate the Himalayas — including Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and the Khumbu Glacier — was one of the most spectacular moments of our lives. Throughout the trek, multiple other trekkers told us they had heard Ace the Himalaya was the best company to trek with, and after experiencing it ourselves, we completely agree. Anyone considering trekking to Everest Base Camp or anywhere in the Everest region should put Ace the Himalaya at the very top of their list. They are absolutely top-notch, and you will not regret booking with them.
This trip took place in April 2024, and I and my friends climbed to EBC on a helicopter from Kathmandu-Lukla and Gorakshep-Kathmandu. The helicopter's unit is very good, we get priority to take off early, so it doesn't interfere with the climb schedule. On this journey we also stayed at the best accommodation during the climb. With good service from our guide Sunil Ghale, he arranged all our needs from the beginning to the end of the climb.
The trip was awesome. The weather was perfect and Raj, our guide, was incredibly helpful and made the experience enjoyable for everyone. Sher and Sanjay carried our daypacks and were very both very patient and helpful throughout the journey. We enjoyed it immensely and appreciated the support from the entire team. Highly recommended!
We had such an amazing experience doing EBC with Ace. Everything was so well organised, with excellent communication from the Team throughout. We went in a group of 5 with Ram as our guide & 3 porters; Bhupal, Prabin & Pesal who couldn't do enough for us. The accommodation & food throughout the trek was fabulous. We took helicopter back to Lukla and this just topped our trip! Totally recommend this company, they will ensure you make the summit with their excellent guidance.
Booked an Everest Base Camp Trek for April 2026 season. It was quite an experience, luckily our guide Laxman was very knowledgeable and helped to motivate us when we were struggling. We prepared for months for this trek but still found it quite challenging so it was good to have him around. Our porters Navin and Osun worked very hard as well and alternated being assistant guides. They accompanied me up to the summit of Kala Patthar. Our tour was a private one with just the 3 of us. Price was very reasonable. The views are breathtaking. Recommend waking up before sunrise to see the glow reflect off the mountains. Usually cloudy during sunset but if you're lucky and get a clear sky the view is even more amazing. Proper warm weather gear is essential by the time you hit Lobuche and Gorak Shep
Namaste! We had an amazing Gokyo and Everest Base Camp trekking experience with ACE the Himalaya. Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish, and I always felt well taken care of throughout the entire journey. A very special thank you goes to our guide, Nimesh. He was the perfect guide: highly knowledgeable, very professional, and excellent in terms of route skills and decision-making. He adapted perfectly to unforeseen circumstances and always made sure the trek was safe, enjoyable, and well managed. I also want to sincerely thank our porters, Jiwan and Sukra. They were awesome, super friendly, and always ready to help whenever needed during the trek. Their positive attitude and support made the experience even better. To sum up: everything was perfect from start to end. I can absolutely recommend ACE the Himalaya, Nimesh, Jiwan, and Sukra to anyone planning a trek in Nepal.
I just wanted to say a big thank you for such an amazing trekking experience. From the very beginning to the end, everything felt well organized but also very personal and genuine. Raj N was an incredible guide—super friendly, knowledgeable, and always looking out for us. He made the whole journey feel comfortable and enjoyable, even on the tougher days. The porters—Sher, Narayan, Sanjaya, Peshal, and Gombu—were also fantastic. Their hard work and constant positivity didn’t go unnoticed and really made the experience even more special. I also had a really great experience during the pre-trip planning. Working with Prem was smooth and reassuring—he was easy to communicate with and everything he promised was delivered, which made me feel confident even before arriving. Overall, it was an unforgettable trip and I’m really grateful to have been part of it. I’d definitely recommend this team to anyone thinking about trekking in Nepal, and I hope to come back again someday.
