Kenan was an amazing guide. He explained in detail the context and events, allowed time for us to pause and reflect at the graveyard and allowed plenty of time for our visit at potocari memorial. It was really special for me to get to know the details of the history coming from a far away island of the Indian ocean.

We were driven and narrated to by Kenan, a tour guide. What a remarkable tour we had to Srebenica under the excellent expertise of Kenan. He enthusiastically explained from start to finish the historical version of what happened in the Srebenica Concentration Camp. We listened in awe as a scene was being set for us and unfolded. We were taken down into a histotical moment in time. Thank you so much Kenan for sharing your knowledge with us. For driving us to Sebrenica and back safely to Sarajevo.

A visit to Srebrenica is essential to understand what happened there in July 1995. You visit the memorial and the interpretation center-museum, located in the old warehouses where the Dutchbat troops were stationed, in Potočari, right in front of the memorial. All the documentary information about those tragic events is there. Regarding the visit, there is a flaw in what is offered versus reality: it is true that they pick you up and drop you off at the hotel (in our case, Kenan was the guide). But no water or snacks are offered, nor were we in a vehicle with a Wi-Fi connection, just as is advertised. In short, the visit is a must so as not to forget how far human evil can go.
