I had the absolute pleasure of having Tom as my guide for this 3 hour walking tour of Brisbane. I also was the only person on the tour, so had my own private expert to make my Brisbane visit even more special! Tom's knowledge of Brisbane, Australia, Street Art, City Bars & Restaurants, and hidden gems was a joy to behold! I learnt so much about the city & all that it has to offer. I learnt about great 'free' viewpoints, 50c river cruises, bespoke mango flavoured chocolate, and where to enjoy the finest local drinks in the city. Then there was the aboriginal history, the settlers history, and the links to the land & nature. If you are a first time visitor to Brisbane this is a must but I am certain that even locals would enjoy this tour, and Tom's expertise. Thank you! 😃

Didn’t realize this was a personal tour for just my husband & me, but our guide, Ryan did a good job trying to personalize the tour based on our interests. He showed us a little of everything to give us an overview of Brisbane. Saw historic sites & buildings, well-known street art & sculptures by local artists & stories behind the art. Ryan pointed out some local “animals” that we saw along the way such as the ever-present ibis & dragon lizard. Ryan also shared how to use the local boats to get around the area which was helpful. It was both educational and enjoyable seeing Brisbane on this walking tour. Hoping Ryan remembers to send us photos that he took of us with his camera.

An excellent tour with a great guide. Tom was both entertaining and informative. He shared parts of Brisbane and its history that aren’t usually available to a casual tourist. The tour was well paced and Tom was so engaging the 3 hours went really fast. This was our first Local Sauce tour but it won’t be our last! We recommend this tour without hesitation! We have taken many walking tours around the world and this was one of the best! Saskia is an excellent tour guide--knowledgeable, personable, and enthusiastic about sharing her love of Brisbane and its history. The tour was an excellent way to orient us to the city.

I would highly recommend this walking tour! Saskia was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the city and presented information in an engaging, digestible, and entertaining way. She was also very friendly and open to answering any questions the group had or chatting about any other topics of interest. I learned so much about the city’s history and was made aware of hidden gems that I would not have discovered on my own. I especially appreciated the visuals that went along with the information and the Google Maps page with points of interest that was made available after the tour.

Tom was engaging and informative, it was a really enjoyable three hours, despite the downpours. He always found us somewhere to take shelter whilst he continued talking to us. We could've continued for another three hours as we were enjoying ourselves so much! We learned so much, from the tour, about lots of different subjects including art and history.
