I cannot say enough good things about the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. It was absolutely amazing. Seeing all of the koalas and feeding kangaroos was an unbelievable experience. The staff and volunteers are all so friendly and willing to share so much information. I would definitely make this a must-do experience!!

The admission fee was very cheap compared to say Australia Zoo. And this was more enjoyable than it too. The other one is so focused on grabbing the tourist dollar. Whereas this one is focused on making sure we have a good time. They were also mindful of the health of the Koalas. When one got restless, they put it back on a "tree", but it was fussy with the foliage. They went through a selection, until it was happy. I hadn't expected the breadth of animals on offer. My wife and daughter-in-law were over the moon to be able to pet so many animals, especially the Koalas. Don't miss the raptor birds show. The map, as usual is rubbish. Instead, they just need better signage. The food on offer was not just fast food (fish and chips), but they also had salads etc. The seating for the cafe is enormous.

Wow, this sanctuary is amazing. There’s many more animals to see after you’re done interacting with koalas! The enclosures are incredible, animals all looked super comfortable and have plenty of space. Many of the koalas and kangaroos are in areas that you can photograph them without any bars in the way. It’s great for a day trip and has an awesome cafe and gift shop too.

We had a great time during our five-hour visit to the sanctuary! I was pleasantly surprised to see so many Australian animals and beautiful plants beyond just koalas. The staff were friendly and seemed genuinely knowledgeable. We especially enjoyed learning about the ways people can support these animals and protect their natural environment. The layout accommodated a large number of guests without feeling crowded. The daily shows were engaging and well-timed, leaving plenty of opportunities to explore the surrounding areas. Logistically, everything was on point. There were plenty of food and drink options, clean bathrooms, multiple areas offering shade or rain cover, and bus stops conveniently located near the entrance. A fantastic experience!

Awesome experience! Loved feeding the kangaroos! Seeing and learning about the koalas was so cool! Saw the raptor show and sheep show.

So many kangaroos and the koalas were active. The birds walking around freely are bold little fellas so watch your food. I loved the experience though.

Lone Pine Sanctuary is a wonderful place to visit, located just outside Brisbane’s CBD. The native animals appeared very happy and well cared for in their enclosures, and the sanctuary itself was well maintained. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the informative talks provided some great insights into the animals. I’d definitely recommend visiting Lone Pine Sanctuary for a great opportunity to see and learn about Australia’s native wildlife.

If you want to see typical Australian animals, okay, but I don't think the conditions many of them are in are optimal. Some are in spacious areas and can socialize (like the kangaroos, sheep), but others are alone in small spaces. For example, a small aquarium with a single platypus, or in an enclosed space a single quokka, or a single Tasmanian devil or a single wombat. The truth is that I left with a feeling that those poor little animals have a hard time all alone in their enclosed spaces. I don't like zoos and I thought this sanctuary would be different, but I don't think it is ideal for keeping the little animals. In the case of the koalas, they have more than one per space, which is better since it allows them to socialize; but I think several are exposed to stress (for example, because of the ones people pay to touch. I didn't do it because I felt bad for them) or some who were in the space where people eat lunch.

We had a pleasant experience overall. The layout is well designed, allowing you to enjoy a leisurely walk while seeing the different animals along the way. It’s worth planning your visit carefully, though, as if you arrive at the wrong time, many of the animals may be sleeping or inactive. The staff were pleasant and friendly, and the facilities were clean and well maintained for visitors. The main reason for the lower rating is the price. Paying over $200 for a family of four for just a few hours felt quite expensive, especially when compared with similar attractions. While we enjoyed our visit, the overall value for money could be better

This blew me away! What an amazing experience- seeing so many Australian native animals/reptiles - some in their natural habitat. A true highlight was feeding the kangaroos in the big,open space - so tame and unafraid! A wonderful experience I will never forget
