We booked bike ride with max 15 per but were alone with our family. It was a great activity and very interesting at the beginning of Rome Journey. The guide was super friendly and gave good explanations and useful tips and facts!
We were disappointed with the lackadaisical attitude of the staff at check-in and all of the problems we had with the e-bikes. Three out of the four bikes we rented had chains that kept derailing. Luckily my oldest son was able to fix them each time but we had to keep stopping to fix the bikes instead of enjoying a scenic and relaxing journey down the ancient Roman road. It was frustrating and not worth what we spent for the rental.
We did a group bike tour with Ecobike, and it was one of the highlights of our stay in Rome. Alex our guide was clearly very knowledgeable yet kept the history part of things light and funny which our kids appreciated. The mausoleums on the Appian Way and the aqueducts were amazing and covering the countryside on e-bikes was a great way to see it all (particularly to switch on the motor going uphill!). Would highly recommend.
Great bikes, beautiful course! The Ecobike team is super friendly, we had a problem with the bike seat that ruined the end of our ride a bit, they made a great commercial gesture. They're really great. We had a great time as a couple, thank you very much!
We really enjoyed our e-bike tour of the Appian Way aqueducts. The bikes were good for the sometimes rough terrain. Our guide, Alex, was very knowledgeable and good-natured. Being out on the bikes passing under these ancient feats of engineering was a highlight of our trip to Rome. Thanks for a great experience.
This was a great time on the ancient Roman roads. It has so many interesting sites including the Aqueduct Park. The EcoBike people were so nice and gave great guidance on what to see. I highly recommend this.
My wife and I took an Ecobike tour with your company on the Via Appia. It was spectacular and my favorite part of our 12 days in Italy! The views of the Via Appia and the Circus and the aqueducts were absolutely beautiful and it was not crowded with tourists. Our guide, Frederico, was wonderful! He is very knowledgeable, he answered all of our many questions about history and the Roman culture and he was very pleasant and charming to talk to. This is a special experience! Very impressive to drive on a road that was already there in the time of the Romans! The original stones are very impressive and the traces of the Roman carts are very clear. The stones are not pleasant for cycling but there are mostly fine paths along the route. There are many Things to do where you can look but the bike ride alone is impressive! Recommended and it is a quiet activity (as in few other tourists) Bring plenty of water because there is little to get along the way. A few km from the start are a few restaurants. We had something to eat at giardino di Giulia e fratelli. Super friendly viewing and delicious pasta!
