The description was 4 hours in the van and 5 hours at the attractions. It was more like 5+ hours in the van and not enough time in the cities.
Part of the issue was a marathon on Heidelberg, so parking was hard to find. Should have left us out in the city and then found parking, as everything was rushed in touring.
Maybe this tour is just too far away from Strasbourg but it was too much time on the car.

Our vehicles are GPS-tracked, and the records for your tour show around four hours of total driving time that day, as announced for the itinerary, despite the road diversions caused by the Heidelberg marathon. As you noted, the marathon on September 20th did make parking more difficult that day, which is exactly why our guide dropped the group off directly in the city center before going to park the van, precisely to avoid losing time and to let everyone start exploring right away.
We're glad you recognized that the marathon was a factor beyond our control, and we're sorry it still made parts of the day feel tight. We're always looking at ways to adapt our itineraries around local events like this.

It was good to experience...
It was good to experience being on the Autobahn to Heidelberg. The views from the Fort were amazing! Enjoyed the Black Forest cake in Baden Baden. It was an easy, interesting day, with a friendly and helpful guide.

Perfect day trip

Life of Luxury
Excellent Opportunity to experience the history and get a glimpse into how the Kings lived. Interesting to see how the architecture changed and combined. Baden-Baden appears to still be a playground for the wealthy!!!

While in Strasburg France, don’t forget to cross the border!
While vacationing in the Strasburg area, it would be a oversight to not take advantage of the location and cross the border to these very beautiful places, our guide was knowledgeable, insightful, and a pleasure to be with the entire day. While traveling to the locations, we had a wonderful time connecting with our fellow travelers from Singapore and from Cincinnati, Ohio. Well, receiving quite wonderful history lesson from our guide.

Wonderful Day Trip from Strasbourg
This was a wonderful day trip from Strasbourg to visit some iconic sites in Germany. We were gifted beautiful weather and could not have hoped for a better day for venturing out. Our guide was very knowledgeable, as was our driver; it was like having two guides. We enjoyed our time with them and they did everything to make sure we enjoyed or journey. We could not have asked for a better day.

Excellent day trip!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our day trip to Germany! I’m sure I am spelling her name wrong but Peak was our tour guide. Her supervisor was with her that day and he was our driver. We went to lovely Christmas markets and had a small taste of two cities in Germany that we probably would never had gotten to visit otherwise which were Heidelberg and Baden-Baden. The architecture was amazing. We saw a the ruins of a huge castle which had partially been reconstructed and we had a had a couple of rides on the famous autobahn. Our driver was excellent and we never once felt uncomfortable.
Lea knew her history very well and told us all about the structures we visited. We were told where the main streets of the cities were in case we wanted to shop at those in addition to the Christmas markets. We were given plenty of free time at each stop. Lea very kindly took our picture at the some of the different stops so my husband and I could both be in the photo.
Overall, this trip was well worth the time and money. At the end of the day, I was sad. I felt like we were leaving really good friends that we would never see get to see again. They were so kind and so much fun!
As an aside, there is an ink pen company in Heidelberg called Lamy pens. They have a store on the main street there. The pens are the best quality I have ever used and very affordable there. I was thrilled when I saw they had an entire Lamy store there!
